There is no specific subject for the content of this channel, it may evolve but presently I am indulging my interest in digital video. I use a combination of a mobile phone, netpad and action cam for recording.
Current content as follows;
Videos of walks through farms, footpaths, parks or nature reserves local to London Borough of Barnet as well as some videos from Oceanside in Southern California.
Places of interest whilst out and about.
US railway (maybe UK later)
Small local airports
On my additional channel @computernuggets I also include videos detailing laptop computer base removal allowing access to memory and hard drive as well as description on use of various computer software.
For now though, my enjoyment is making the videos, uploading them and sharing with whoever views them, not intending to aggressively promote the channel so shall see how it goes.

GoPro Driving Video
This was an experimental 23 minute drive from Borehamewood in Hertfordshire to Edgware in North West London.
Camera was a GoPro Hero 6, the resulting files are huge, around 4GB per 8 minutes. The end video file was just under 12GB, bit rate was 66mbps , I used ffmpeg to drop bitrate to 5mbps which reduced the file size to 900MB. The camera was suspended from a windscreen adaptor, the camera got VERY hot during recording, not just warm but HOT. Still seemed to record OK.
There was some annoying background noise that was not noticeable during the drive, this may be vibration picked up through the camera case.
Had the camera for a few years now but always found the field sizes make using a bit prohibitive, on my older but quad core laptop using ffmpeg to reduce files to a usable size often takes around 5 times the length of video to convert.
Similar drive video done using LIVE CZcams feed, quality quite poor in places.

Very smooth gear changes. Are you double de-clutching?
@@ral-tv The auto takes care of all that. Days of toe n heel long gone, not sure it matches revs though on a down change.
I just came across your video. I used to live in Weedon. My 1st driving lesson was with my father on the road from Aston Abbots in 1982. Thanks for the trip down memory lane 😊
@@GloriaClarke-r8f So glad it brought back memories. I live in London but occasionally use that route when I visit a relative near Brackley. Beautiful countryside, lovely drive.
Nice... and may it live on peacefully 🍃💚😁
Que siga creciendo.
Beautiful
Wow que hermoso ❤
Not as big as some of Californian and Canadian Redwoods.
Not as big as the Californian or Canadian variety.
@@send2gl there aren't any canadian redwoods, only from Calfornia and China, what's the tree in this video?
@@lux0149 I think it is either a Cedar tree or a Cyprus. I'm no expert.
the 2nd train Is A Class 222 Operated My EMR Not Thameslink
Dats a good old old dog doing his guarding duty ❤
He certainly is a good 'un.
Amazing effect!
Nice landing.
Yes it was!
GATWICK
City actually
The description is not an obvious link on the shorts but did mention that it was London City. Quite a nice airport for short haul trips.
Have you climbed it?
No chance
Most of that water is sewage and runoff from streets, it always has an odour about it
It is checked by www.thames21.org.uk/ and our park friends group monitor and report any issues. It is part of the Silkstream project which flows into Brent Reservoir so is monitored.
Spectacular!
Adorable 🥰💕☺️!!!!
Not my parrot but 20 years old, belongs to my GF.
Just like Edgware!
I used to live in Colindale. If I'm not mistaken, that looks like Edgware Road, although it looks a lot dowdier now than in my time there!
When people from overseas shit holes move into an area that area becomes a shit hole ....
I was in town that day as well.
I still can't believe how quiet it was, never seen a place so quiet.
The staff must be so bored.
Not sure how they can survive with that footfall
@@send2gl Very true. The rents will be huge.
I do like those American trucks with those long bonnets.
It's been suggested that Europe has the flat nose trucks as we have more ferries, so space saver.
@@send2gl Could well be the reason.
To be fair there are much taller trees in the mountains of California.
There were taller ones in that park.
Great balance!
Were you down there to visit Mrs. Wilberforce?
I've been on the Bakerloo line many times, but never as far as Kensal Green. Thank you for showing this.
Was that a poppy on the front of the train?
Great video! I've always wanted to go all the way up to Edgware tube station - this is the next best thing.
It is a nice area, you'd enjoy it.
@@send2gl I tried to get there once but somehow ended up at Mill Hill East.
Nice views of the park. Would be interesting to see the same location in the spring/summer with all the leaves on the trees.
Do you live in England?
Yes, NW London.
@@send2gl Oh nice!
The distant echo…
I live in this area where you have been doing all the video's documenting the nature around there, it's been very nice to see. I'm a nature lover myself and i know every knook and cranny of the nature and wildlife in the area, some recommendations would be to walk up clay lane from broadfields avenue and then up to edgwarebury farm, from there in to edgware grasslands. It's near scratchwood forest. Brilliant and beautiful in the summer.
It could be that they always blow the whistle there. I've seen places like that before and it seems to be protocol afaik.
Spidercat lol
I remember that stretch of track and road from when I used to live up that way. Great memories!
I must get the Thames Link train to Mill Hill Broadway to have a look around.
That's fast!
That's amazing! I used to be a frequent traveller on the Northern Line, but there wasn't a station at Battersea Power Station back then. How times change.
Funnily enough, I was in town the very same day and had lunch nearby with friends!
A crying shame, loved my time there as a cadet.
Wasn't a cadet but spent some time at the Estate.
Amazing to think that's where the whole journey begins. Was it going all the way to Morden? Do you know whether it was via Bank or Charing Cross?
There knocking those blocks down
