Awe.. that sound. So unmistakably the sound of Porsche.. its intoxicating, and im jelly.

Simply lovely!! Had one from ‘94 till ‘06, see my profile pic, taken at Zolder/Belgium in ‘96, then in a moment of utter madness sold it. 😢. Did a partial rebuild after it threw a con rod bearing (partly my own fault, cheap oil) , then dyno’ed it on a Dynojet 248, topped out at exactly 180PS, so about 20ps over factory spec, being the low compression first gen 3.0. That’s how good these engines were!

Gorgeous car, from its whale tail to the Fuchs alloys. This vintage 911SC still invokes the same awe and wonder I had as a teenager seeing these cars in the late 70s. They were a rare sight in run down England back then. The country was not doing so well, many folks were poor. So catching a glimpse of dream machines like a Porsche 911, Maserati Bora, Ferrari 308/512BB lifted your spirits and made you dream of better things for the future 😊

Beautiful car love it’s an s code 390 I would re-do the motor w/ headers bring the exhaust out like the gt500 e side pipes I would also put bigger tires in the rear & maybe a ford supercharger maybe ,but I love the car & I wish u good luck with it treat it well !!!

Where is the car located?

Very nice. Much like my wife's car. One gripe- the exhaust tips look awesome but sound terrible. We changed them on my buddy's 65 to a single pipe and they sound so much better even with the 302 amount of flow compared to a 390. This car will bring a nice chunk of change.

Knowing the propensity of rust forming under any vinyl top, I question the wisdom of putting a new vinyl top on an otherwise rustfree body. Having owned a ‘68 XR7 GTE 427 back in the day , I’m well aware of the fun and not so much fun of these cars. Personally , I would prefer a clean small block resto mod . These cars, especially big blocks were in dire need of some serious brakes and suspension . But that’s just me , an old car nut.

Hi, i have a 68 xr7 302 4v cougar in the uk, how can i make it handle and steer better? We have replaced the shocks and lowered it, but apart from that is stock.

The first car I bought was a 68 Cougar. I had a lot of fun with that car. It was a California car that was de-emissioned, and for a 302, ran great.

I have a ‘74 145 and have just purchased a ‘79 244 in mustard yellow!! The slightly wider tyre really looks great on this one! I remember seeing this up for sale a while back. I hope the new owner is totally in love with it!
