Yesterday, April 10th 2022, my Mastacembelus ellipsifer group (3M/2F) was breeding. They try to lay eggs in cracks of the side wall. Unfortunately they eat their own eggs and get help from the other predators.

Received these guys yesterday. Not sure which species this is. Most likely Phyllonemus brichardi but anyone that knows better should speak up 👍🏻 Very nice fish. Should have special broodcare (biparental moothbrooder) so hopefully some nice video’s in the future 😁.

Heb ik nog. In ieder geval 1 koppel maar nog geen jongen. Gekocht als P. brichardi bij Marta maar het is Phyllonemus filinemus volgens de kenners.

Tanganyika is great! Extremely versatile. Fish with lots of different shapes, sizes and color as well. 👍🏻
Great aquarium sizes, I don't live in a house, I live in a stylish co-op on the second floor and the maximum aquarium I could fit was 220 centimeters long.
220cm is a very good size. One of the best aquariums I know is 220cm long. There is a video of this tank somewhere on my channel.

Zalig! In mijn bak zijn de Altolamprologus compressicep de grootste! Hier zijn ze dwergjes naast deze kolossen!
Wauw, prachtig, hoe groot zijn die Thropheus moori's wel niet. vergeleken bij de goldheads zijn ze minimaal 15 tot 20 cm
Thanks. De Tropheus zijn ongeveer 10cm, de Petrochromis ongeveer 15cm. De Gold Heads die je in deze video ziet zijn 2 dames. De kleinste is een zeer klein gebleven vrouw van max 5/6cm op c.a. 4 a 5 jaar oud. De andere is een normaal formaat met c.a. 8cm. Zij wordt 8 jaar oud in juli.
@@TanganyikaNL Prachtig, herkenbaar dat de vrouwtjes veel kleiner blijven dan de mannetjes. Ik heb een vrouwtje van 4cm en een man van 14 cm. beide wildvang

Always the issue with those community tanks! Very difficult to breed fish in, or you need to remove any eggs/fry as fast as possible...
