sounds good, doesn't work
Which camera?
@@GrandadsReviews finally it works lol, sometimes ^^ o.O .... O.o but thanks for the tips brother from an other mother
You shouldn't call it a 1 inch sensor because it might trick people into thinking it's 1 inch in size when in reality it's barely half that. Disgraceful marketing ploy.
True but unfortunately that's what most people know it as and calling it 0.52 inch by 0.35 inch doesn't sound as good.
Thanks mate, you just saved me from frustration 😢😊
Great video! I was gonna buy the pixco speedbooster m42 to fx, but I also have minolta lenses and already i have the oficial m42 to md adapter. So i will be able to use both type of lenses with the same speed booster
This option is not available for the X100 original, am I right ???? Thanks for sharing.
You are correct it's not available on that model or any of the first generation X cameras
@@GrandadsReviews Thanks !
@@GrandadsReviews Then, should I trust the scale or the DOFMaster (or similar) calculators ? 'cause the scale seems so inaccurate....
Thanks for this. I think it's said that one can watch a poor film (visuals) with GOOD sound, but never a good film with POOR sound! Cheers 🇬🇧
Thanks a lot. I've started thinking already that my flashlight is broken or something
Thank you Sir!
couldn't get flash to work. flash node said off. turns out the camera was in ES mode. Put it to MS and all is good. thank you
You're the best! Thanks so much for this vid <3
Very comprehensive and taught me some features. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Is there any alternative for X-T30 to record more than 15 minutes? There's no way I'll buy Atomos which equally expensive than the camera itself.
You could get hdmi capture card to a laptop or as a Atomos Ninja Star which I do use or any of the older Ninja models some of which go for a reasonable price but you will most probably be stuck with 1080p or one of these amzn.to/4dEr4Os which allows you to record in 4k to your phone.
@@GrandadsReviews thanks! I'll do some research to HDMI capture card!
74 grafoa es malo tengo el mismo procesador
You looking healthy. I always like your videos. Keep on going.
Very informative video. Full of common sense. Well done
I did this, but the flash still not working I have XT30II
The first thing I would do is a full factory reset in case you have missed a combination of settings that is preventing the flash from firing
Thanks, needed this info in a pinch and a few years on from owning an X-T5 I'm still fumbling through the menus.
Thank you - i was confused by the EV and reading in red on lens and box showing aperture and now i understand
How come when I use flash. It would only work once and I’ll have to close the flash, open it back up just to make it flash again? I have an xs10
How long did you wait before trying the flash again as it may be that the flash was taken time to recharge.
Very interesting. My one and only flirtation with Minolta was in the film era - the first camera I bought new was an XD7 and I lost it (the camera as well) in Canada in the 1990s. This one intrigues me. I really like the layout and I know there's good glass available. Will it compete with my favourite digital though - my lovely 5MP Kodak CCD packing Oly E-1? Thanks to you - i'm going to find out! (Caveat - doesn't stand a chance on lenses😊). All the best from a cabin in a swamp in a rain-forest in New Zealand.
Absolute legend
Thank you. I couldn't remember how to fix it.
But I dont wanna lock AE I just want to see my ISO... another fuji BS
Good little test of the not quite so cheap (nowadays) kit lenses mounted on the R’s Good alternative though. Enjoyed the video David 👏
Very helpful. Even though I'm looking for a slide scanner rather than negs, I've seen mention that the Epsons struggle with 35mm but excel with larger. Your video illustrates the point perfectly, thanks. Looks like I'll be going for a Plustek.
my thing with this is that i can get any number of Sony A mount bodys for the price and have a much more modern body and access to these great value minolta lenses
huge help thanks
you missed the mark here mate. the real question is to check Ibis + OIS vs Ibis
That’s what I did I tested ibis vs OIS + ibis so don’t understand the comment
Via FWs, they can only make things worse
Apparently they have
That proves it then.... we have all been sold a lie. 😄 How about repeating this but in a low light situation. That's a truer test in my mind as this is when you find weaknesses. Have a great weekend 👋
I was curious is it possible if you could swap out motherboards of the Aurora R5 to R6, I noticed that the Aurora R5,R6 and R7 are all similar in size, so it's probably possible that you can swap motherboards.
I would think it should be possible
Your experience with “cheap” gear will very interesting. I fear we all get too caught up in chasing specs that have little or no impact on our output and more importantly enjoyment.
Great that you show your struggles. Very recognizable!
Top merci !!!
Sir I have Fuji xt200 It has iso only between 200 to 6400 Can I extend to 12000 or 100
Yes this is what the manual says “Standard output sensitivity equivalent to ISO 200 - 12800 in increments of 1/3 EV; AUTO; extended output sensitivity equivalent to ISO 100, 25600, or 51200”
@@GrandadsReviews kindly suggest camera settings Thanks sir
@@mehboob6666 Hi settings for what in particular
@@GrandadsReviews to extend iso
@@mehboob6666 you need to go into the shooting menu and then the iso section that’s where you can change it.
Nice video, i Just bought the x100vi and want't to try this.
Thank you !!!
I've used the Bellini c41 kit to play with Phoenix (I don't normally use much colour, so just go with lab processed). People do stress a bit about the temperature control, but the really critical bit is only for 3 minutes (IIRC), so I just filled our large sink, go that to 38, along with all the chems. Once everything was at temp I got started. Enough volume of water will keep that stable for 3 minutes without problems. Also, can Nik & Trick please pick up their Social Media game! They have such an awesome range of products, but get very little coverage. Their range of self-made B&W developers is just superb.
OMG that saved my life. Thank you!
At last! Thank you for showing me how to use this. I could never get it to work because of my JPEG settings. I love Fuji JPEGs. Now loving HEIF on my X-T5 even more due to smaller file size.
hey! how did you get the pin thingy for the peak design strap into the hole? for me it the strings seem way too thick 😪
I still have the extra thin ones that peak design used to make.
I've found that final wipe (with a pec-pad) is very critical. All the remjet never comes off. And you want to be careful that the remjet side doesn't touch the emulsion side before that final wipe. Remjet can get stuck in the emulsion, which is Not Good. Good video. ECN2 is not tough to do, and the results are great and cheap(er) - just a bit extra work.
There is no Pentax any more. It is Ricoh just using "Pentax" label. It is just zone focusing semiauto with 3 element lens, no manual control of aperture or shutter, no external flash.. for $500 and especially $750 in Europe one would expect at least 1/1000s shutter, full manual control over shutter and aperture and possibly even AF. And when compared to normal 35mm camera, you need to take at least around 4000 images to get the cost difference in film. But who will take 4000 pics with semiauto camera. Those who like film and shoot so many pics usually have SLR.
Thank you so much!!!
thank you so much ...
THANKS!
500 bucks for a new, well made film camera is fine. Buying used will always be cheaper, but it doesn’t cost more than it would have if it had come out in the 80s or 90s and a lot of care went into it.
It is half frame semiauto camera which does not even have manual control and only has zone focusing and 3 element lens.. $250 is too much for that.
Great video, thanks!
Thanks a lot mate. I've just shoot with my new TTartisan 10mm F2.0
