2023 Eddieville NMA round 6 Open A
Started with AA class as Open A had a good start but started to slip behind some, kept hitting my lines and picked up my pace through out the race and ended up 3rd in class and 5th OA. Thanks to my sponsors for the support.

Had a terrible start (hope who ever crashed in front of me is alright) and spent most of the race playing catch up and just trying to stay on 2 wheels, but with a steady pace and patience I made my way up to 10th in the open class and 22nd OA. First NMA race in Open A and man it was a long race, Super glad to see the massive turn out for EWDRA and NMA and hope to see it carry through the rest of the season. First time trying Horn Rapids Mx

I have very little motocross experience and decided to give Horn Rapids a try considering its in my backyard. Was pretty shy with some of the jumps for it being my first time there but the table tops along the side was fun and flowy. My 300 Ex desert sled wasn't quite stiff enough for all my flat landing haha.

My first time riding single track in probably 8 years, dust was familiar but my first lap I was a bit of a fish out of water, My laps got faster as race went on though. Finished 5th overall though and 5th in Sportsman class.

I was just to the right off the start and saw the guy go OTB to my left. I broke my leg about 15-20 minutes in.
Man, if you would have had the freeway starting lane you would have been even more dangerous. Start location definitely played in this year. Your creative passing in first 5 minutes was clutch.
Man I am so jealous of your hill climb at 33:30. I started second wave this year and by the time I got there it was packed with people who had fallen over, and I had to take a super hard route up the side after waiting my turn for 10 minutes or so. You guys made it look easy.
Looks like we started pretty close to each other. I ended up 35th in open, fell back a bit after having to repair a flat. Nice ride man!

Right around 4hrs but sat in line for who knows how long.
Great footage and blistering pace....been there many times and raced again this year at 76 years old and took home yet another Trophy at a little slower pace....Cheers Sean Hamilton

I expected worse, I think we went around some of the really bad parts.

I need work on actually editing my videos one of these days, but first I should work on conditioning and going fast if I plan to podium this year, class is super stacked compared to years in the past.
@Kodiak9 I struggle to get enough seat time early in the year also. Between the weather and sun setting shortly after I get off work, finding time to get out and do 2 or 3 hours of conditioning/training rides is rough. Till the middle of summer and then there is all the light and weather to ride as much as one wants.

Nice ride! Yeah I was hoping for not to be Dusty this year at the 100 but I think it's going to be it doesn't look like you're going to have much moisture between now and then

Yeah was definitely the longest race of my life and I've done a lot of 6hr Ironmans 😅. This weekend should be a blast though.

@Kodiak9 oh dang that is never good. I screwed up my handguard install and they caused the clutch lever to be slightly pressed even when released so the bike went into thermal meltdown mode and I had to stop to let it cool and add water over and over. The desert and long rides really will test everything. Your bike, your fitness and your mind set.
That looked pretty great. Wet but not muddy, didn't seem deep and you were smashing the jumps.👍 Looks like a good time for sure.
Definitely was fun, jumps feel a lot bigger than you expect when you're out there.
@Kodiak9 I bet. I don't really jump anything, but I have mastered the roll everything approach. 🤣🤣 I keep seeing more and more tracks and places to ride that are not forever away and I love it. Need infinite choices on free weekends.👍

Yeah that was a brutal first lap for sure I couldn't ever pass anyone cause you catch up and dust was just so thick you can't get around.

Not a good day, so far so good on the bike. Flushed the oil out of it several times, stripped it down and left it to dry out 100%
