I didn't exactly watch a whole lot of the Mario season and I am not sure why. The ice cave was a definite improvement over the honeycomb maze, but unfortunately they ruined the chamber of knowledge and that was the best part of the maze to me.

I know Ruta from her ties to Fort Worth, and her honor of being the city's favorite star! She played the Casa Manana theatre every year from '64 to '89, returning from time to time since then. (That's her in front of Casa's silver dome, shown twice in this vid, when Adam mentions Hollywood.). I met Ruta in '85, and we've had a mutual "love affair" with each other ever since! This segment only scratches the surface of her TV stints, beginning with George Burns & Gracie Allen and The Adventures of Superman, both in the early '50s, to Bonanza, Andy Griffith, The Flying Nun, Mannix, Wagon Train, Hogan's Heroes, The Wild Wild West, Jake and the Fat Man, the Twilight Zone, Highway Patrol, The Flintstones, Disney's Ghosts of Buxley Hall...all the way up to the Mighty Morphen Power Rangers and RuPaul's Drag Race! (...and that STILL only scratches the surface!!) She also appeared on that great '60s game show, "Stump the Stars," which took it's cue from the game, Charades, and was hosted by Pat Harrington, Jr! Ruta is a gem! Photographers compared her to Marilyn Monroe, in that she has a mutual connection with the camera! Meredith Willson, who wrote the shows "Music Man" and "The Unsinkable Molly Brown" called her the BEST of all Molly's (and, that included original Broadway Molly, Tammy Grimes, and Hollywood's big screen Molly, Debbie Reynolds)! Ruta, btw, began her run at Fort Worth's Casa Manana as Molly in '64, natch!

This was a LEGEND!!!!! In so many ways this was undoubtedly a big time LEGEND!!!!

I think Klaatu could have also been considered a movie reference. Michael Rennie played a character named Klaatu in The Day the Earth Stood Still. It's irrelevant because he chose the wrong answer and I'm just a feeeeew years late with this trivia but I figured I'd throw it out there. Thanks for the upload, I always loved this show.
