NEW VIDEOS EVERY OTHER DAY!
Welcome to Sabeel Combatives with Wael Abdelgawad. Here we demonstrate martial arts techniques that actually work for self defense. No confusing BS., no pretty techniques that don't stand up to pressure, and also no MMA-only techniques that are only practical for the ring.
Sabeel combines some of the best techniques of Hapkido, Silat and Kali. We have taken Silat's systematic, efficient way of dealing with punches, and fused that with Hapkido's devastating throws and joint locks. It's a seamless fusion, so that you cannot tell where one system begins and the other ends. It is the product of a lifetime of training and innovation.
We are based in Fresno, California. If you're interested in hosting Wael Abdelgawad for a seminar, feel free to contact us.

Professional boxer vs taekwondo black belt
A fight between a professional boxer and a taekwondo black belt. Unfortunately there seems to be a major weight advantage for the boxer. The taekwondo fighter gets a kick in but it’s weak and cannot stop the vicious onslaught from the boxer.
I'd imagined that the taekwondo fighter would use kicks to keep the boxer at bay, kind of like how Holly Holm did to Ronda Rousey. But he only got one kick in, and it was ineffectual.

Traditional Arab Stick Fighting
zhlédnutí 2,5KPřed 8 měsíci
The art of Arab stick fighting goes back millenia. In many sword fighting cultures, sticks are used as training substitutes, to avoid injury. In Japanese martial arts you have the boken, in FMA there are eskrima sticks, and so on. The same is true for Arab martial arts. Stick fighting styles used to be very common in the Arab world, but have mostly died out, except for a few pockets here and th...
Spin kick in the street: A technical analysis
zhlédnutí 2,7KPřed 9 měsíci
I'm a self defense instructor, but I don't believe in street fighting, in the sense of two people fighting unnecessarily, such as fighting over insults or perceved violations of one's "honor." In this video we see two young men fighting in Mexico. One of them throws a fairly good spin kick, except that his weight is too far back, which takes away power from the kick, and nearly sends him to the...
4 ways to use the elbow hammer lock
zhlédnutí 677Před 9 měsíci
The elbow hammer lock is a must-know martial arts technique for all law enforcement officers, security officers, and bouncers. It's also excellent in knife defense. It's a sweet joint lock that is applied very quickly. It doesn't lock a person up super tight, but it's a good temporary control technique that you can use to either walk someone out of the door, take them down, or disarm them if th...
Shoulder throw: the secret step that makes it work
zhlédnutí 2KPřed 9 měsíci
The Seoi-nage (shoulder throw) is a classic judo technique, good for judo competition and also very handy in street self-defense. It's a good example of judo's "softness defeats hardness" philosophy, as it allows a smaller fighter to throw a bigger one. Unfortunately a lot of people struggle with the shoulder throw. They have trouble getting the opponent off the ground, and then can't get him o...
Bokator Turning Elbows
zhlédnutí 653Před 9 měsíci
One of the trademarks of Bokator, the Cambodian martial art, is the use of turning elbow strikes. Some people are against turning strikes on principle, but I think they are a great way to catch your opponent off guard. We have seen some fighters use turning strikes to great effect in MMA, such as Jon Jones's phenomenal turning elbow strikes to the head, that he has actually knocked people out w...

Very cool. It looks like Eskrima that has somewhat watered down into more of a ceremonial sport for celebration but I'm sure if you look hard enough you can find old masters who still teach the combative system. My ex-wife is Egyptian, btw, and my son is half Egyptian. Thank you for sharing this. :)
One of the most effectuve. I can attest
Nips crazy kung fu yeah
This man might just be Johan wick😂
de ocampo original 123. and. i don't know the system of another 1. but i think its a modern arnis for sport. the. ocampo original is agressive and its really good. practitionir the other one is like a. arnis sport. . justa footwork of. arnis sports. ... when arnis sprts and combat arts meet. this willl happen.
Should have the woman demonstrating on the bigger guy throughout.
First guy squeaked
Other hand strikes your face
Yeah I was taught that C grip method myself, but I ran into Filipino buddies who did escrima/arnis but focused primarily on the blade so we were practicing and the guy just reversed and upcut you did @2:15 and it was like a magic trick i'd never seen anyone do that, or actually played with anyone who actually knew how to use a knife. I realized the whole thing was just bait to get me to reach for it, t was a mind blowing experience.
MMA WOULDN'T give him a contract with that power and strength killing someone granted Just like bruce lee said im scared of that one guy who practice daily 1,000 times kiking both legs to strength his muscles.
🖐🏿✌🏿
That kid was one of the best students I ever had.
With a long baton, against a knife… and you don’t even open it and keep the distance 😂 sorry it’s just dumb

As someone that has studied aikijujtsu as well as practiced judo and bjj, this stuff does work. It’s all in the timing and positioning
You say its 52 then rename the blocks? That's some colonizer shit.
Fake af
Where did you learn 52?
This is the exactly same Technique like the Trainer at my work showed us. especially the thing, that you start with armbar so he the suspect try to flex the arm and that helps you to go in the figure 4. This is a very usefull technique! I have tried it already and it worked great
Muay Boran ?
this is how the Chinese test contraction materials
👌👍💯🙂
the 2nd move... nice
0:45 Looks different If the karateguy would use his left hand too and not stop in the movement.
Ever tried something like this? I used to run uphill in the Oakland hills, that's about as close as I've come.
Super
This is a different Figure four than we have been taught so far in Hapkido. I like this one, but I haven't been able to effectively do it yet. I especially like the looks of it for knife defense because it points the blade back at the attacker IF done correctly.
Kkkk😂😂😂 cada mentira ki aparece
tremendous devastating kicks but they are still neighborhood champions, none in mma or ufc
When the world cant break you because you already broke yourself.
Gru survived and found his minions
Olympic TKD is for players. Boxers are fighters. The boxer was a kickboxer I think because he was wearing shin pads. Even worse for the TKD guy because he understood kicking. The lack of hand techniques because of the TKD rule set is very unfortunate.
Un buen video para recordar a Matt.
Little Billy come quick those two weird men are outside dancing in their backyard again😅😅😅

I liked the foot work ❤
They are using the sticks same as any saber system, but damn that is the shittiest foot work I have ever seen.
They are cried and wrong.Look Chua Fa was given to Okinawa. They wanted own Japanese lineage and made up karate. The actual stick is from Africa and there was 10dynastys be for Egypt.Egypt enslaved the Africa and pitted them as entertainment. They saw how they fought and learned it.Making Egyptian history.China stole that. The history is in the pyramids on walls. The stick shown here.is wrong and more like a prissy dance. Some African still do the slong stick and they like boxers.Get bloody, hurt, but learn. This shown is a joke.
Enough of all these Asian MA, we need to see more different types of MA, even African MA (taureg sword fighting) is very interesting to look at
It kind of seems that they are swinging at the sticks instead of the person. I guess that would explain the lack of safety gear? The aim is just clacking the sticks?
