At the end of the day, you can find a machine that will mow very very steep slopes better than a ventrac will… however, those machines will be very 2 dimensional and not give you anything else to offer outside of mowing. The ventrac does excellent on most any given slopes. Within reason, of course. Then to add that you can add multiple attachments and do countless other jobs, the ventrac is very hard to beat

Yes they do. The homeowner receives a bid, submits it to the county. Then the county approves it and reimburses the homeowner afterwards. It’s a big bill to have to take care of on your own for some people

Haven’t found a good setting for the soil leveler. It tends to just stay in the highest position. As for depth of till, we tend to stay around the 2-3” range and that has worked out very nicely for us. I personally believe ventrac was misleading when they showed off the cultivator. It can be a one pass and done tool, but that is EXTREMELY rare unless you work in the flat lands with little grade changes or direction changes. We always bring the power rake with us to do finishing passes with

I haven’t used the string in it yet, but I would highly suggest you run .105 at the very least instead of .095

I have to say, the E20 really outclasses the Yanmar on almost every level. The Yanmar 17 was smooth but lacked a lot of things that the E20 offers

@@Fayettepropertysolutions I haven't ran other 2 ton machines to compare to. But just looking at specs, the e20 is superior to most of those other machines in several ways: Reach, depth, lifting power, curling power, foot pedals, lots of space to quickly and easily mount and dismount, wider track stance, aux controls on joystick, etc etc. The E20 with the long stick and the rhinox coupler and rhinox 2 ft toothed digging bucket will stretch out a full 15 ft at ground level from centerline. I would imagine digging depth is closer to 9 and 1/2 ft.

@@cdmajesty4803 you’re correct about everything you just said! Those are the exact reasons the E20 was a clear choice for me. Also, having the boom swing and the aux controls on the joysticks vs a foot pedal is a huge advantage! Also, the operators station is much much larger than the competition as well! I would have liked a Kubota or Takeuchi but they just didn’t spec out close to the bobcat

I travel with it on all the time. I don’t go over 55-65 mph with it though, but at those speeds it handles it fine. It’s not recommended by Digger Lid for you to do that, but it can certainly be done. It’s been holding up outstanding to traveling on the trailer and wandering thru the woods around branches and other things that want to reach out and grab you. Not even a scratch on it so far. It’s been so nice to not have a soaked operators station, and be able to drop the “door” when it starts raining to keep yourself from getting wet so you can *hopefully* finish what you need to do without getting soaked
