Product Review: Cantu Shea Butter Coconut Curling Cream

This video is about Product Review: Cantu Shea Butter Natural Hair Curl Cream. I finally figured out why my hair hated this, not only was it probably because of the coconut protein, but because I found that despite the label saying no mineral oil, there was. I had to wash my hair with a sulfae shampoo to get the product and it's buildup off my curls.

omg!!! my stylist in a salon charged me $60 for the same thing and my hair was jet black and hard to color!😧 i jus died in my living room $400? and they acted rude???

Im sorry it was Helic or something like that-not Hewitt. Im kinda done with the D evachan and products because they make my hair really dry and no definition and they are expensive. I wish you could have stuck with Melody. Your hair is cute even with all the drama.
Thanks, but yeah I'm thinking about trying a new salon after this experience. I mean for a cut, cause my color experience has never been bad at Deva. The products are insanely expensive and I'm not even sure why.
Sorry that happened, next time go with the initial reaction "why make an appt if she has to leave" and follow them out the door. I'd rather waste time than be unhappy with the experience and results.
Next time I'll go with that, cause it was just a poor experience this go around.
I went to Hewitt -he was a master styler and was horrible. Terrible attitude, insulted my hair and I havenice curls-then he wanted to chop off most of my hair but I only let him give me a trim. I wont ever go back there and are a fortune. I heard melody is way better if you go back.
Melody has cut my hair before. Melissa has too, the new stylist was nice she just was scissor happy.

They cut all hair lengths and they don't cut your hair stretched, they cut it in its natural curly state. The stylists hair varies in length, they're natural too. So yeah I saw varying lengths.

This is by far the most helpful vid on the DevaCut method I have seen anywhere; I SO appreciate you sharing as this has made my decision for me. It looks like we have very similar curl patterns and texture which helps me in determining if this cut would work for me. How awesome you got to go to NY meet Vita & Lorraine & get your cut done by the experts. I hope someday to do the same. Thanks again for sharing this vid.

I actually don't use it anymore, I just use my fingers to detangle. It does sort of do damage to your hair, probably why I needed a hair cut. I was in love with it, but I will say it didn't do my hair any justice.

Hey, I honestly got everything together. The cut and color together ran me about two hundred something. I wish I could be of more help. I'll talk to my stylist and get an estimation for you.

@500deanna =D I'm actually a mix of about 3 types of curls, but eh who cares. As long as you found someone with the same hair characteristics. Porosity, density, etc, are what matter most.
So glad to have found someone, anyone who also has low porosity, high density, 4a natural hair. Seems to be strangely unique! Yay! Happy Birthday!
