I had the "frozen clock" issue on my 2014 Focus after getting TCM replaced (long story). A SYNC master reset did not correct the issue and I did not want to pull the battery - so I simply pulled the fuse, started the car to demonstrate no power to the sync/radio with car off - I replaced the fuse then everything worked and I was able to reset clock.

Great content, can't thank you enough. The only thing i missed is, in last example, if there was a criterion for determining which poles go to infinity and which poles are attracted to zeros. I sketched p1-> z1 and p2 -> z2 with p4 and p5 going to infinity but MatLab proved me wrong.

First and foremost, thank you for the tutorial, I couldn’t have done it without you. As somebody who makes tutorials, I appreciate the effort it takes. However, my one criticism is when you had the brackets on upside down. You should have re-filmed that part because that is very confusing, especially to a non-English speaker that doesn’t always pick up on the notes like you left on the screen. Nonetheless not trying to be rude or anything. I appreciate the tutorial as mine did not come with any instructions.

Some scales have a max-weight memory. I'm trying to find the name and when I do I'll post it for anyone here that's interested. I have a couple of suggestions for slightly modifying your 3D-printed parts. With the fulcrum, move the two legs straddling the scale forward, so that when viewed from above it's a 3-pointed star (think, Mercedes badge) with the fulcrum in the centre. That way when you press down with the blade it won't tip the device and you'll no longer need to hold it. My second idea is partly esthetic and partly practical. Do the same with the part that sits on the scale and incorporate some way of it nesting with magnets inside the legs of the fulcrum for storage. Felix Immler had a similar idea and found that 6.5kg 0.3mm fishing line was very close to the filament that you can buy from Edge On Up but a tiny fraction of the cost.

THIS was exactly my problem. Thanks. Great video, confirmed my problem. Time to pull out the hair dryer. However, after removing all the water below the coil I poured HOT water into the coil drain and . . . EXPECTED?! that hot water to melt any ice in the drain tubing and. . . disappear. Tried this 3 times and it stayed in the funnel under the coil. So, I must not understand everything that is happening here. The drain still appears plugged but not by ice! I can only figure that there is some sort of automatic valve below that opens and allows water to drain under certain conditions. However, even if it does, where does this water go? I have never seen water on my floor until this happened and it came from overflowing the bottom of the freezer floor. I will reassemble and hope for the best!

QQ: what did you do w/ the passenger AC vents and the blower at the rear of the van? Any video of that? Any best practices or lessons learned before I take my van apart?

What a great idea! I’ve seen Todd on Project Farm using that edge tester, and I’ve always wondered how much they cost. This is a much cheaper alternative. I am going to print something like this for my kitchen scale, but I think I’ll try to figure out a way to make my own test articles, maybe using nylon thread or something. Thanks!

Thanks Christopher! Your video was immensely helpful. In addition to melting the ice blockage I needed to use a coat hanger (gently) in the drain to fully free the blockage. Pretty satisfyting to watch the standing water immediately drain. Great opportunity to clean the freezer too!
