Thank you so much for including in your thoughts the first responders. No one really knows what they go through. How if someone doesn’t make it they wear their heart on their sleeve. If it’s a child and they’ve held them, they actually and I know this because I’ve seen my dad do it Burn their clothes burn their uniform that they wore that day not their turn out gear that can’t happen as we have come to know of late turnout gear, but keeps what is supposed to keep them safe actually has poison in it when they go into the heat of the fire the poison reacts and through little tears, and Needle holes from where the stitching is and it gets stretched as they’re doing their work they have many firefighters. I include everybody from a chief on down as a firefighter, and I’m the daughter of a chief and my life was the fire service kind of weird for a girl at the time I started, all I was allowed to do was answer the phone? But it matters so much to these guys and gals and I just wanted you to know that. I got off track. I’m sorry what I want you to know is that the turnout gear which is the coat and pants and the bunkers that you see them wear bunkers have their boots Has this poison that when it’s exposed to fire, makes a poison that brings prostate cancer lung cancer breast cancer, because there are more women, firefighters, cervical and ovarian cancer. So they have to re-engineer the turnout gear and that won’t be cheap and then the departments will have to replace it, and that really won’t be cheap turn out gear cost between $2500. To $3000 dollars a set and everyone needs them whether they belong to a paid department a paid call department or volunteer department. One day you may get a phone call I know most of the musicians who are in the fire Services corner. I may ask you to join them. Everything is in the very very early planning stages. We have no idea what lies had for us. We just have to hope that our eyes aren’t bigger than our stomachs that’s fire department, humor for overestimating or underestimating what you might need. In the meanwhile, keep writing those beautiful songs they are gifts to our Lord and to us. We are so blessed to have you.
I found you courtesy of father Walter Chiswick the first time I heard He leadeth me. I had to keep playing the rest of the songs during lent. I’m in the middle of 33 days to morning glory, which is the preparation for Marion consecration. Your music fits right in. Obviously the good Lord has blessed you with the magnificent gift. I’ve gone back and listen to a lot of your earlier work and I see that you’re gonna be in Springfield Illinois in October. That’s 2 1/2 hours away from me and I don’t drive. But there is a train that leaves right from the station in my neighborhood and could take me down there and I have some friends in that area who would be shocked to see me, but would also be glad because it’s been a long time, and then come and see you would be icing on the cake a little more than a week later I’ll turn 67. I am not well, but I am stubborn and if I want to do something bad enough, I will. So I plan on seeing you in October in Springfield. I’m glad you’re not playing the fair. I managed the fair for a couple of years and it’s a nightmare. That’s where I got my gray hair but I’m retired now and spend a lot of my time listening and reading about a year and two months ago. I went back to the Catholic Church after being sideline for about 50 years talk about your interesting confessions. But the priests at my new church have welcomed me with open arms. And they are very in tune with my illness. Just continue doing what you do because you do it so well.
