Plug-in NC's National Drive Electric Week
One of the best ways to learn about electric vehicles is to get in the driver's seat - and that's what National Drive Electric Week is all about. NDEW is a nationwide celebration that raises awareness of EVs and provides an opportunity for drivers to share their experiences and show off their cars.
Join Plug-in NC as we visit the North Carolina Zoo to celebrate NDEW 2023. Why do you drive electric? Let us know in the comments.

Sodium-Ion and "sand" batteries will be the best/safest solution for grid based storage and redundancy. These system will get attacked as part of the growing asymmetric attacks from Russia/china, so they need to be built with that in mind.
Nice👍️
I’m here for Knowledge & Understanding
Way to go! This is awesome!
An EV is a good choice for retirees who drive short distances regularly, do not need long-range charges, and can rent a hybrid for their rare long trips.
Thank you for this content. The kids will love an Electric School bus. We own 2 EVs.

I see a bunch of old people - sorry no ones buying your electric death traps except the nearly dead. There is no one there this is pathetic, an ariel shot of how empty that event was.
Over priced golf carts!
No matter how much you wish , EVs will always be a novelty. Mandates only serve to muddy the market.
Good thing this wasn't scheduled here in Alberta. There hasn't been an electric vehicle on the road in two weeks and they'll be in hibernation until spring. We had scheduled rolling blackouts due to extreme, record setting cold. Just thought I'd provide a different perspective uo those interested in these modern marvels.
EV's are a waste of time and money. They also pollute the world. Check out how they mine Lithium and Cobalt. EV's have been under development for 189 years and are still not ready for prime time. CO2 is the basic building block for all life on this planet. More CO2 is better, according to NASA the increase in CO2 so far has made the earth 15% greener

Is there interst funding or assisting with a 10 acre experimental facility bordered by a high voltage line within 2 miles of a substation in Bladen County?

Good company
More of this series please :-) Maybe one focused on HEMS or BEMS and how that is interrelated with smart grids? Especially the technology side of Smart Energy would be interesting to learn more about: the whole journey from connecting DERs to the cloud (vs. edge?) over monitoring to controlling (incl. topics like communication protocols, E2E security, platforms, device and data management and load balancing).
THE LION STRIXXX!!!
Still gonna hate the 45mph
Not unique to electric school buses.
I am fully aware of that. I know all school buses in NC are 45
kindly send me link for the upcoming webinar. Thanks
All of this great stuff for the power company and it only cost about 100 lives every month. OOPS, I forgot about all of the smart meter fires. Keep up the great work guys.
How they work in sub zero cold temperatures. We're talking about-30 degrees celsius. That is the challenge.
Lion Electric builds in Canada - and has vehicles deployed both there and in the midwestern US - I'd say they are keeping the *cold challenge* front and center. (I still want them to have a US manufacturing facility - which they WILL need simply to meet increased demand.)
I think they have battery coolers and Warners.
1.plz explain Resilience? mean it technical definition 2. why resilience is needed? 3. what are proposed solutions for smart grid resilience???????????

That was great. Loved the real-world examples with co-located distribution centers. Thanks.
Brunswick Video worked fine for me. As stated in the program a good internet connection is required. Great source of information
Your video it turns itself~ out of focus and it seems that CZcams is doing it so that I cannot see well of what's on there , would be bad if someone wants to get a screenshot
That beeping though. Every time the bus moves (under 19mph). I wish there was a different tune it could play. Sounds like the ice cream truck rolling into the school. I can only imagine 5 of them lining up all playing the same song at different intervals. A nice electric wooshing sound would be nice.
That is so drivers and passengers don't get ambushed; remember - electric vehcles are *quiet quiet quiet*.
Should be.... czcams.com/video/CS9OO0S5w2k/video.html
Can’t wait for North Carolina public schools to start actually using them
