Timeline of the rulers of Croatia (improved version)
Some notes about this video:
This timeline does not include the "anti-kings" who claimed the Croatian throne.
Croatia had a list of dukes before the kings, but in this timeline I decided to start with the kings, so the video wouldn't be too long.
The crimson area marks the Croatian territory, whether as an independent kingdom or part of another kingdom or empire. The rest (light red) is the area that marks the borders of the kingdom or empire (depending on the era) as a whole.
I decided to put presidents instead of prime ministers as rulers of the current Republic of Croatia. I am aware that since the elections of the year 2000, the prime minister has accumulated the most powers in Croatia. I just decided to change it this way to make the video less confusing and more "didactic".
Due to the lack of "official" portraits of some of the first kings of Croatia, I decided to create them myself. I used an AI, but I tried to make them as non-generic as possible. These portraits were made and based on the period in which these kings lived and also on the most "prominent" things they did during their lives.
The reason I did not include Ante Pavelić (1889-1959) was because it would be very difficult to include him in an already finished project. Let me explain, the process of making these types of videos is an absolute nightmare for me. The program I use to make these videos has a lot of nonsensical problems that vary depending on the version I use. So if I dare to include another ruler on this list, that would mean a complete rework of the entire video, which I'm not going to do. But, if you are looking for more information about Ante Pavelić, you can read the following paragraph:
"Ante Pavelić (1889-1959) was a Croatian politician and dictator, leader and founding member of the Croatian Revolutionary Uprising Movement group, in the 1930s and later "Warlord" (poglavnik) of the Independent State of Croatia (1941-1945), a puppet and collaborationist state with the Axis."

Some notes about the video: The maps show all the territories the ruler controlled at the end of his reign. In this case, the areas in bright blue are the king's domains, and in light blue are the areas in which the ruler has nominal power or an area of influence, but is not an area under his domain. This same logic is applied during the Norwegian civil war (1130-1240). Some dates are "split" b...
