    Very neat system set-up. Just thinking how important is taking the catenary angle into consideration and would you recommend a backup track line?

    Is there a way to make the x axis values go positive when I move the tool away from centerline? No matter what I try, that x value is always going negative. I'm in lathe mode.

    For the shock absorber on the left, would the blue rope need to be longer? If its short then the shock absorber won't be able to extend and take the shock out?

    Specifically what brand of collet is that? Is that technically just called a 5C adjustable collet chuck? I’ve looking around for a collet chuck of that design and can’t find one. Wondered if I’m calling it by the wrong name in my searches?

    I love the videos that you made and I would like to point out a product that every rescue unit should have; the Keanu compact trolley. It would make a high angle rescue setup like this in just a minute or two. The Keanu trolley is the most sensible and easy to use trolley unit I have ever seen. Check out their video here; czcams.com/video/DZnkS4gOFvw/video.html

      I get such a kick (sometimes in the stomach) when we talk about the newest (or not so new in this case) gizmo. Perhaps we start using more function based names/descriptions. Provided you don't work for Company "X".

    • @robertparkhill8106
      @robertparkhill8106 Před 5 lety

      Landyn Lyerla many technical rescue teams and urban search and rescues have that much equipment.

    • @jbelang
      @jbelang Před 4 lety

      It depends on the job Landyn. I'm an IRATA L3 rope access technician and I have never needed to use a proper english reeve, but I could see how high angle rescue and certain emergence6 personnel would need such a setup.
