One of our Termite Inspectors found live termites travelling over the concrete slab in a garage in Mt Gravatt East, Brisbane. Normally termites infest a house in a more concealed manner. It is somewhat uncommon to see termite 'leads' being constructed out in the open. The termites did target some loose stored timber in the corner.

Only with very expensive cameras. Don't expect those $200 thermal cameras sold on Amazon would do this. They are useless.

is it as easy to use as said on the tin? and how long does it last compared to regular termidor? one source said 6 weeks and the other said 5 to 10 years? not an exterminator, but while our situation is bad, it doesn't seem to be "that" bad and is concentrated in one area. would buying it as a holdover for now be enough to ice them all for a few months to the remainder of the year until i have the time and money to foritfy my house by bulding the trench barrier around the house with regular termidor?

Hi Sakura. Yes, it is safe to apply inside a house if used properly. We normally drill small holes in the affected timbers and apply where the termites are eating.
long-term, no one knows how harsh chemicals that kill insects will affect your health, endocrine, cancer status, etc. - so be careful.
How do you actually treat them to get rid of them? Is there a camera or device that would map actual structural damage in a house?
Inject liquid termite treatment chemical into the wall. No such thing as a camera to track the damage

Welp, I'll add my comment to your growing list of Americans wishing we had ANYTHING like this here. I'm in Los Angeles and the only inspections any pest company will do is purely visual (looking for frass). Why? Because if they find anything (or even if they don't) then the only solution to "truly know they're gone" is to spend multiple thousands to fumigate. They're all basically in the fumigation business, not the pest control business...

Is it true some can be black? I find almost dead ones that look like ants with wings and they are def poor flyers. I have tons on basement floor but never seen one fly. My whole townhouse is sealed. Today when i woke up i found about 50 of them on my floor around the heat register IN MY LIVING ROOM AND INSIDE MY FLOOR LAMPS. IVE never seen them swarming and im up till 6am. I cant find where theyre coming from. Can they get in through cracks in basement where the wall meets the floor? Baits dont work, they can hardly move.

@ Conquer Termites - Brisbane just noticed termites infestation in my book room. many of my treasured books were damaged. i just want to know, can termites completely eat a big, very thick and hard cover book, leaving no evidence or trace of the book or even any bits or pieces of the hard cover, only a traces of mud. cause my favorite real mystery books - 'Out Of This World' and 'The Unexplained' have mysteriously vanished disappeared! since the termites infestation was noticed. please help by replying i'm in desperate help for professional opinion from you, thank you very much.

In South Florida Orkin inspection was rubbish, Truly Nolan inspection was rubbish, Ehrlich inspection was rubbish and Terminix didn't even turn up all Terminix want to talk about on the phone was the fee!. I found and disposed of Sub termites in my condo myself, it took me nine weeks of demolition and hard work.
@@bruce5799 I ended up hiring J&J Exterminating. The dude that came out actually did a "Proper" inspection which included the (hot as hell) attic. I do question the placement of the bait stations being "IN" the drip-line around the house though. Glad you were able to evict those little bastards Bruce!
