Move to Atlanta. It's great.

I'm 20 minutes from Atlanta and I'll never be able to enjoy the few good things about the city.. All because of the roads and traffic. You described the frustrating roads perfectly. Even though parking decks are not eye candy in the slightest, Atlanta needs a lot more of them. Side street parking makes everything 10 times worse.

I have visited here before I moved here on several occasions and I must say that living here is different. That southern hospitality means something different now. I've met some of the meanest people since I moved here. A lot of people here seems to be angry and the news don't make it any better with all the craziness I see on it on a daily. Scammers blowing up my phone in the middle of the night is annoying. If yu live in areas where there are lots of trees, it's nice in the summer but not so nice in the spring time because of all the pollens. What I like about Atlanta is the culture, the Mercedes Benz stadium, parks, the mix of different cuisines and the wide selection of plazas, malls and shopping centers to choose from.

My son lived on the outskirst of ATL and learned quickly, it was NOT for him. He now resides in Marietta and loves it, but he will not even WORK ATL now. He works from home and loves his cushion set up. There are so many beautiful places in the state that you can benefit with happiness from.

They need better paying jobs and more jobs to many homeless ppl they also need housing

Douglasville has a ton of crime. Don't believe me, just look at the Douglas County Sheriff Office arrest reports on their website.

Move to Atlanta from New York late 80s started to grow then had fun time maturing in Bklyn but had best time of my life in Atlanta. City was magical in the 90s and 2000s and drink the water. Traffic is rough one reason the airport is a hub to the Southeast USA which is one reason for that. The City has a lot to offer. All four seasons of weather is good except for those who may suffer from spring pollen. City has lot to offer...

Healthcare is terrible, the wages and salary are low, and the food in ATL is unhealthy, meaning everything is fried and salty.

Born and raised in Georgia, and they only seem to want to build restaurants. They only want us to eat and shop. There’s no attraction places and Northern Georgia and driving to Six Flags are going to White Waters is a complete nightmare if you live in the outskirts of Georgia they’re only building restaurants. There’s really nothing to do in Georgia.

I live in Metro Atlanta about 15 minutes outside of city limits. I came here with a plan + good career. The best part is you don't have to live in the actual city. You can live outside city limits and still get the benefits

Remote work made people take their high salaries and move to Atlanta to live cheaper. But now its to the point where its not cheap anymore.

My family lives in McDonough, GA. When I went home in January, I didn't recognize Atlanta. I have never been a fan, even as a young adult in the late 90's early 2000's. As soon as I landed, I was ready to leave.

Your assessments are very commercial. Being from GA I appreciate your opinions, however it's okay to be honest and say, Atlanta is garbage.

Really? I live in Houston where $100k jobs grow on trees. No way ATL is this economic and financial hub you speak of. It's a fraud city based on entertainment and not much else.

There is zero southern hospitality is Atlanta metro. You want that? You’re going need need to live the North Georgia mountains or southern Georgia. Regarding driving, and yes there are fools on the road. I recently witnessed a 9 car accident on I-20 because those idiots were running around 90 mph and clipped two other cars. That sent vehicles spinning out of control and smashing into the concrete barrier. I am never in a hurry. If drivers don’t it like then go around. Don’t get me started about these drivers with bad and bald tires speeding in the rain. Every time it rains I’m waiting to hear sirens and it never fails. It’s usually firetrucks going to use the jaws of life to get these fools out of their vehicles because they’ve lost control and hit the concrete barrier. Of course, I’ve witnessed the same driving attitudes in Los Angeles, Metro and all over Florida.

The mistake was moving to Georgia

Moving from Arizona to Georgia was a big step for me. It brought a lot of unexpected challenges that I wasn’t prepared for. So, I want to share my experience to help others avoid the same pitfalls.
