I think I noticed you said you have children. How do you juggle everything so smoothly? You should do a vid about it. I am about to be a mommy myself & I don’t want to quit going to school.

It's probably not a good idea to go to the campus if you aren't a student. If you don't have a student ID, you could potentially be escorted off campus by security (and rightfully so cause random people shouldn't be walking onto the campus talking to students. Its a safety hazard). Just set up a tour.
Never thought of it that way 😂 My campus is public and I never see security walking around which could be a good or bad thing. Now that I remember my previous college, I did need an ID to even enter the campus but my campus at the college I'm at now is wide open. I guess play it by ear and use your discretion. I had no issues when I went.
Thank you for all the tips and encouragement. Congrats on your 1st semester done and making 4.0. That is no easy feat, esp working pt and being a mother. Yes, you make it look easy. You have such a positive outlook in life and that smile of your is beautiful. You truly inspire me. I’m a month in my nursing school program and I am constantly pulling up your channel to see a new Vlog because watching you makes me feel not so alone. I’m a mother of 4 and next semester I will be taking pharmacology, mental health and adult health. I’m nervous but more than anything I’m determined . Your advice on starting the semester strong is solid advice. Im grateful my first exams I made a decent grade because I can’t imagine having to play catch up to get to a point where I can be sure I will pass the class.

Did you have dosage calculation exams?
Yes! We had a dosage calculation quiz in fundamentals where we had to get a 95% or higher by the third try and I had a dosage calc exam this semester in pharm last week.

For the days that I do not have classes and have a large chunk of the day to study, yes. Sometimes it can range from 45 minutes to an hour and a half of straight studying depending on my focus

Hi kyra.. i just started nursing school and have watched your videos before. I really want to know how to use this app. My first exam for fundamentals is on Friday, 24, and I'm just overwhelmed already.
Hello! I'm going to be honest with you, anki was working in the beginning but as the information started piling I could not keep. For fundamentals it is more important to focus on the practice questions that are associated with the chapters in my opinion. I would condense PowerPoints into notes, read over the notes and make connections, then do practice questions and read the rationales. Fundamentals is more clinical judgement versus memorization.
Thank you so much for the advice. I'm also trying to figure out how to make those power points into notes because I just feel like I'm all over the place. In terms of notes, PowerPoints.
@@euniceasaah667you’ve probably figured this out by now but change the power point into an outline. Click view on the task bar and then click outline. I copy and paste into a word document and highlight, add, delete etc.

I have the same issue with the gym lol. I’m also in nursing school and have class different days. If I wake up at 5 a.m. and go before class I’m so drained the rest of my day. I find it best to go after class in the afternoon and/or after lunch. Hope this helps. ❤
Yes! It can be so difficult. I would love to workout more but I think for my next semester I have to workout just 3 days a week in the afternoon because I still can't seem to wake up so early lol
