Haha of course. But I wonder what their turnover is on tribal art. Quite a lot i guess. 98% fakes but also some good things. Even Montagut is selling on Catawiki nowadays.

@@marcust.5754 Catawiki is dificult. I think that they make a good job for Oceania. With Africa, it's not so much the fakes that annoy me, but the stupidly high estimates for this crap. They suggest it's something good.

But as long as you love them you have my blessing

Well, to begin with, his English isn't very good, with what is obviously a pretty limited descriptive vocabulary, so arriving at each item - which are all so beautifully presented and well shot, all he seems able to come up with are "Ooooh's" and "Aaah's", without telling us hardly anything about the pieces we are viewing - other than a vague "Papua New Guinea", or "Pre-Columbian", and then muttering under his sharp intakes of breath.The pieces on display deserve so much more.

@@about-africa3459 If it is you who are the commentator, I heartily congratulate you on how well, and how unegotistically, you have taken my critical comments, and would like to add that although I know virtually nothing about Primitive Art, whereas you, definitely, must know a very great deal, it's only because I find it totally compelling (a love that began when I first visited the African room at the Louvre, some time in the 1990's) and although I would never be able to afford the best pieces on display at Maastricht (I have only been once - back in 1992; it seemed fairly chaotic back then, with a quantity of some of the paintings that looked false; but now, in 2023 - wow!!), because of this I found it frustrating not to be better informed over some pieces in the clip that made my eyes pop out, and longed to know more details of the provenances and their compositions and raisons d'etre, etc. I'm sure you will understand this, being such a connoisseur collector. It is so strange how we Europeans seem to take such little interest, generally, in the artistic culture over centuries of peoples that compose more than half the world's population. Take comfort in the fact that if I spoke Dutch as well, even, as your English I would have something extra to be proud of. Thank you.
