Thursday, November 17, 2022 - 6:14 PM PST - According to Discogs (a fairly reliable source for album credits), this cover of my song “You’re Welcome Here” was recorded and released in 1990. I just discovered it a few minutes ago after running across a mention of the artist (and lead vocalist Gail Moore) in Mark Alan Powell’s seminal work “The Encyclopedia of Contemporary Christian Music”. Talk about being the last to know! But what’s twenty-two years, right? Lots of creative liberties, quite different from my acoustic original recording … but that’s a very, very good thing. The list of artists who have covered any of my songs is pretty short. Glad to add this to list of ones I’m aware of!! Bob Bennett (Costa Mesa, CA)
