What I would find more interesting is a Azula story where it'd revealed she was a legit lesbian and a girl helps save Azula from her madness.

I like this alternate reality story. It makes sense that Aang would want to see something in Azula that no one else, save, possibly Ursa saw. Ursa loved Azula, despite her bad behavior. I always hoped there would be a possibility Azula would join Team Avatar. Thank you for this.

I also liked how they showed his struggles of growing up in the war without their dad around. Like Sokka's a natural strategist but he worked to become a leader like his dad

Reminder, Sokka saved the world. In the finale he is the ONLY one who HAS to be successful in his mission. If Aang, Zuko, or Iroh fail, then the status quo is maintained, it’s not “good”, but the world is not thrown so far out of balance that it can’t be fixed. If Sokka’s team doesn’t stop the air ships from burning everything to ash, that’s it, game over.

I feel like Azula might hesitate to kill Aang in this timeline. She decides to go through with it anyway, but it would be too late. EXCEPT I also don't think Azula would have reciprocal feelings that quick. Maybe they could be forming, but generally her flirtation would be a tactic to make Aang vulnerable. Azula is conniving. I was given the impression that she may even specifically planned to kill Aang when he started going into the avatar state. If she felt some feelings toward him, then she might have already come into doubt of her past plans, so she would hesitate. "Without thinking" isn't Azula's style...yet.

Note : this also happened in season 1 episode winter solstice pt2 where Avatar Roku temporarily switched places with Avatar Aang to defeat an enemy attack/ ambush….

Ok, I think I’ve figured out what Ursa did wrong here in this incident when an much younger Azula noticed she was gone, and reacted negatively towards her mentally ( as how Ursa could’ve avoided Azula having been slighted by this: Simply Ursa could’ve said to azula something along the line “ oh, I have to go check on something really important for a minute, I’ll come back shortly “…. I feel like that would have been the best way to avoid this incident becoming a negative experience for a much younger Azula…just saying in my personal opinion, though I could be wrong?!? “Sometimes politeness and honesty is the best policy “- old wiseman’s zen adage

Gun was not evil, just cynical and tired. When Yangchen gets "possessed" by a past avatar, they are only repeating a memory from the time they were alive and are not consciously doing anything. "Gun" was repeating a conversation he had with his friend, with zero awareness he was talking to Kavik.
