96% of our gold can be pulled out with the magnetic portion of the milled ore. Test show the gold is easily removed from the magnetic Iron with hydrochloric acid. and when the iron is tested after a acid soak the gold is 100% removed. This result is interesting in that it implies the gold is on the outside of the iron grains . If this is true I would expect a portion (25% ? ) of the gold to be ...

With your 275 gallon tank are you doing magnetic cons only or all the ore. Would the eco gold x work with high pyrite enriched ore.
if ground down fine enough and then use an oxidizer and heat you should be able to leach gold with eco goldex. we just found out we are getting 96% of the gold with just magnets so we no longer need the big tank, we will now be using a blue drum called the VAT+OH for doing speed leaching on the magnetic cons.
@@bosrecreationalmining So the 55 gallon drum will be enough. Using the same set up as before in the video and gold x super agent or with pyrite and telluride eco gold x o
Thanks. I am looking at a rod mill does half a ton to ton a hour I hope it will work. I like the magnet setup you have on the conveyor belt drum. Goid idea
a drum can be heated with a band heater making the leaching very fast.
the magnetic ore is likely from an oxidized gold deposit (above the water table)
I'm sorry sir but i don't get it what you want to leach from that pyrite ore? Panning the fine material would do the job as gold and iron/lead is dense and heavier. Can you explain to me of you will.
only the larger pieces of gold can be collected via gravity methods. some gold can even float away in the smoke of resin ashing. And most gold is invisible to the eye due to its small size. This is why leaching is so popular.
@@bosrecreationalmining Why not just grind the ore add heat it to remove the sulfide then add nitric acid to remove steel or lead and then add aqua regia to disolve the gold, is that method is look more easy to do?
the iron that the gold is tied to has a weight that is about the same as the rest of the ore. the gold at such a small size will not sperate via gravity. this is not placer mining. it hard rock and we dont let any gold was out the end like the guys on tv do. ever see what they do with the black sand that they collect? they ship it out to be crushed and leached just like the hard rock guy do on there own.
why not just wash the gold off the sand with a hot leach ? and save the acid for the refining. when you acid wash iron you get dissolved iron in acid with gold. good luck separating that out. Why do that if you dont need to! thats why alkaline leaching is so popular. it skips right over the iron.
@@bosrecreationalmining Cyanide is hard to get in our country so we use acid in here sir, even the chinese leaching product is not common in our country instead nitric acid is just $3 and Muriatic acid almost the same in price.
What is the difference between cementing and resin
cementing is when a pregnant solution is washed over a metal that will then go into solution and the metal in the solution then come out of solution becoming a solid that can be collected.
Can we see the ball milll slurry maker
yes look at the video called ....the gold mill Ball mill just released a few days ago
Does all the gold in your ore stay with the magnetics?
we have done multiple assays to confirm this. the silver does not but the gold goes wear the ferrous iron goes, and yes I know this is only supposed to happen in BC and Alaska. also the pgms other than silver seam to move with the gold (only partially confirmed via 1- 80 element assay and one xrf
what does the plate in the center do? it has a 4" square hole in the center to keep the balls in one end or?
the plate makes 2 chambers out of 1. and keeps the balls from all going to the low end of the mill. haveing the 4 inch hole stops the balls from all winding up at the low end.
interesting
thanks for looking at our videos. tell me what videos your interested in seeing more of!.
@@bosrecreationalmining My interests are pretty much everything you have posted, the leaching process is interesting because only a handful of people are using EGX. I think the only thing lacking is the extraction of ore. which ore is taken, which is left as waste, the vein systems etc. Maybe you are not at that phase yet as the portal work the last few years is time consuming and difficult work.
a video on that is coming soon. for now its mostly just sorting out the vein material. that is very loosely organized being so close to the surface. now that the rails are in and the ore cart is also in you will be seeing a lot of digging this year. we will be moving more ore and waste than the last ten years combined.
Thanks for showing us your milling operation, I wish I had a shop with electricity and water like you have.
the water is from a garden hose. the electricity is a small sub panel. (im a master electrician) tell me what your interest is and I might make a video just for that topic.
Nice thanks how much can you get through it a hour
300lb/hr.
i can put about 500 lbs an hr through it. and will get sand out the end . or slow down the rate to 300 lbs per hour and get very fine sand and powder.
You put the Teflon tape on backwards. When you put it on you have to turn it the way that you need to tightened
i think tour right about that. I have many thing that need correcting and up grading. most of my equipment is still in the proof of concept stage.
@@bosrecreationalmining Don't feel bad.I know plumbers that do the same thing

YAAAAYYY!!! MORE NICE FRESH RAIL!!! Sure good you got a break from the sun and had a breeze, that was ALMOST startin to look like WORK!
Hi. Its great to see you looking in on us. we spent most of last year on improvements. a shed, rail, muck out wall collapse. build a trestle. move in the ore cart. black powder experiments that worked rather well (see the shorts). see you monday night. Bryan.
@@bosrecreationalmining Hi Bryan! I'm glad I got to see a little bit more of what you been doing up there! Actually, oddly enough, I sort-of lost track of your channel between parts 1 and 2 of laying track. Not sure how, except that I'm pretty sure I've gone through 5 computer hard drives since then... Computers hate me... And then they die... Oh well... In other news... I met a lady on Gab who may show up at our meeting tomorrow, who may be prospecting in Oregon, near the Klammath range of the Sierra Nevadas. She has some pictures of a homemade shaker table with ore on it, and some pictures of pans of gold and black sands, and maps of what may be an are she prospects in. Could be an interesting addition to the group, offsetting Eva and myself in the gender ranks, make it more [or less, depending on who they are] comfortable for the guys in the group. Too soon to tell.
radio controlled.
No. We used wires hooked to a Detonator box
we do that on the winch
Noted lol
I have a sierra blaster I could bring for them boulders. I have some property in a mining district. It’s hydrothermally mineralized some unique things going on. In search for the shiny. I’m still learning. Jeff Williams is a great teacher as well.
Hello friend. My name is Dan from Missouri. I’m 49 and my kids are grown lol. Prospecting along with geology has become my new passion. I recently started back to college to pursue more knowledge in the field. Im also a journeyman level carpenter and I was also an engineer in the army. Didn’t know if you would be interested in some free help in exchange for the knowledge gained in the mining experience. Even if you don’t, bless you brother in Jesus name.
Genuinely curious, what is the takeaway here? Should prospectors look for pyrrotite (weakly magnetic) as a sign of anomalous mineralization that may be worth checking? Everything I have read suggests that iron pyrite (2 sulfur atoms, 1 iron) is non-magnetic, and that contradicts what you say in the video if I heard you correctly. Thank you for clarifying, and I enjoy your videos.
other iron products show up with the gold Like magnetite and ferrous iron. when charged with a magnet the magnetic field last a long time and can be easily detected with the magnetometers in a cell phone. use any magnetometer app to do this test.
We are going to attempt our first live video soon. We will be converting silver nitrate to silver chloride. Sorry for the confusion earlier. I thought we were doing it on the 1st.
I’m experimenting with resins at the moment. Cementing is interesting too.
Great videos! I'm just getting started on learning to extract some gold from my ore that seems to have gotten to fine to recover by gravity. Your videos are very helpful! New subscriber here!
how much volume are you needing to treat?
@@bosrecreationalmining I only have about a ton on hand at the moment. I held off mining more until I figure out how to economically extract the gold.
This is absolutely horrible
I have zinc, coco carbon , and a pgm resin, I will be able to use the all at once or just one at a time with this setup. I will be showing this in part 2. the fiber glass is to clarify the eco gold-ex solution . I have used it a few times and it does pack up but not pack compleatly shut. as it loads up the clay in the ore starts to self filter. resulting in a clear solution. just what I want for cementation with zinc or carbon or resin. love all the comments! Bryan.
Hey Brian. Great video!
Thanks, Harry.
How much silver should put for carbon ash mean ration of silver and material
Brian , Thats looking good, I think the fiberglass filter maybe a problem with slimes, depending on grind size to get liberation , The Eco goldex has to contact the gold . Keep up the great work and let us know how the zinc works out, very curious about that, we didn't have very good success with zinc, went to resin which comes with its own set of problems also. Thanks for the update.
the weather will warm up soon and i will be able to run the new leach system. the small system was self filtering and gave out Chrystal clear effluent. the fiber glass is to stop the deteriated zinc and loose pgm cement from making its way back to the leach tank.
you prefer zinc over carbon or resin? I suppose you could easily install resin vs zinc shavings. I hope your fiberglass doesn't clog with slimes. I was going to do something similar with my totes, but I couldn't find anything that wouldn't clog. I grind to 100% passing -50, so i might have more ultra fines that you do. Nice to see an update - hope this system works well :)
We were thinking we may process the finer clay like slimes separately in a 50 gallon barrel.
I have lined the bottom of a tote with cement based bricks and gravel to fill in the gaps. then a double layer of fiber glass and a bit more gravel to hold it down. then the ore with out the slimes. Slimes are being tested this week. results in a up coming video to be called (found gold) I hope. This tote will be an eco goldex leach tank
@@bosrecreationalminingI'm working on the same tote setup , been having trouble finding a material that will not clog with slimes. might just have to separate them out, or make up an agglomeration drum.
We are using zinc because it's simple and we had a bunch of it. It's relatively easy to extract the gold with an acid wash. We found the discussion about resins on Hard Rock University this last Monday very interesting and informative.
@@bosrecreationalmining yes, i download all of keiths video for future reference and/or in case anything happens to his channel since YT loves to cancel accounts for feelings.

On reisin 1). Loads deliterios metals first, Au, PGM last. 2). Ashing of reisin. Requires heat at 1100 f. Or so with a flow of air over the reisin. A few degrees change + of heat vaporizes the metals. Was collaborating with ex employee at silver anvil and finally with du pont chemical. Very costly. We're not too far behind you. If you think we're having fun on camera you should see what we do off camera. How do you think all those big rocks become little ones.

Our EGX seems to have a natural ph of about 12 with 3g/L.
thats 3 Grams per liter?
Yes. Three grams of Eco Goldex per liter of water.
Great video! After you removed all the iron, did you smelt the remaining roasted ore to get the gold or did you pan only?
Very good ! 25G in 500ml is a ~very~ potent dose, even without the SP added. I'd like to see the same test with 1gm in 500ml. I typically use 10G per gallon. Are you roasting all the cons before you leach them? zero sulfides? For sulfides 22G per gallon would is my starting point. They changed the O series to S series now - for sulfde ores, but I haven't tested it on my sulfide cons yet. It looks and smells very different from the E and O series. Would love to be able skip the costly and time consuming roasting, PITA. Thanks for the update, looking forward to the next one :)
there are sulfides and lots of iron . no roasting. the fumes from this stull will make you run away.
Wherever sulphides have been roasted then smelted, for miles downwind, everything is dead, a moonscape. Sudbury, Ontario is a classic example. Then they had the bright idea of building The Inco Superstack, 1,250 ft tall, so the shit comes to earth 100s of miles away in the form of acid rain, which kills lakes and trees.
Looks like your moving along on your project. Best of luck. Thanks for the updates!
