if ground down fine enough and then use an oxidizer and heat you should be able to leach gold with eco goldex. we just found out we are getting 96% of the gold with just magnets so we no longer need the big tank, we will now be using a blue drum called the VAT+OH for doing speed leaching on the magnetic cons.

only the larger pieces of gold can be collected via gravity methods. some gold can even float away in the smoke of resin ashing. And most gold is invisible to the eye due to its small size. This is why leaching is so popular.

the iron that the gold is tied to has a weight that is about the same as the rest of the ore. the gold at such a small size will not sperate via gravity. this is not placer mining. it hard rock and we dont let any gold was out the end like the guys on tv do. ever see what they do with the black sand that they collect? they ship it out to be crushed and leached just like the hard rock guy do on there own.

why not just wash the gold off the sand with a hot leach ? and save the acid for the refining. when you acid wash iron you get dissolved iron in acid with gold. good luck separating that out. Why do that if you dont need to! thats why alkaline leaching is so popular. it skips right over the iron.

I am sure u did your due diligence on reisin recovery, but from my own experience and a few others, didn't work for us at the artesinal level of us. I had results with Zn precip. Didn't try A. c . Good luck.

We're not too far behind you. If you think we're having fun on camera you should see what we do off camera. How do you think all those big rocks become little ones.

You have 10 years on me but mining is mining. The only difference is the size of rock you are willing to pick up.

Our EGX seems to have a natural ph of about 12 with 3g/L.

Great video! After you removed all the iron, did you smelt the remaining roasted ore to get the gold or did you pan only?

Very good ! 25G in 500ml is a ~very~ potent dose, even without the SP added. I'd like to see the same test with 1gm in 500ml. I typically use 10G per gallon. Are you roasting all the cons before you leach them? zero sulfides? For sulfides 22G per gallon would is my starting point. They changed the O series to S series now - for sulfde ores, but I haven't tested it on my sulfide cons yet. It looks and smells very different from the E and O series. Would love to be able skip the costly and time consuming roasting, PITA. Thanks for the update, looking forward to the next one :)

there are sulfides and lots of iron . no roasting. the fumes from this stull will make you run away.

Wherever sulphides have been roasted then smelted, for miles downwind, everything is dead, a moonscape. Sudbury, Ontario is a classic example. Then they had the bright idea of building The Inco Superstack, 1,250 ft tall, so the shit comes to earth 100s of miles away in the form of acid rain, which kills lakes and trees.
