Genuine question. If god is the beginning and end and everything came from him then how would orange play-dough come to be? I don’t think this is a very accurate description of the nature of god’s creation. To me, even sin is part of god’s creation and though it may distract us with the illusion that we are something other than and extension of his majesty, everything is and forever will be that same purple playdough

I’m not religious, and I fully admit I have a strong dislike of organized religion (how it presents itself in modern times), but I dislike the idea of giving people a set of instructions on how to convince children to follow the doctrines you deem necessary. Yes teaching is important, and yes teachers also need to be taught how to teach, but most religion (primarily Christianity) in the US doesn’t seem to teach how to become closer to God but rather how to convince others to believe in God. Having faith in God isn’t about stating a predetermined, preselected “fact.” To me it’s having the understanding of and connection to God to guide others through their journey, not force them to follow your journey’s path.
