Landon was kicked out of his dadâs (James MacDonald) church as a youth pastor in Illinois, because of his toxic tendency to be verbally abusive. For short, he was NOT pastor qualified to begin with to have been hired back in September 2022 (1 Tim. 3:2-7). His dad and brother were also kicked out, for the same reasons. There is absolutely no bible passage whatsoever that allows for disqualified pastors to be a pastor again, evidenced by the fact that when the percentage of disqualified pastors re-offending is extremely high. Speaking of, during Landonâs bible study this past Tuesday (8-20-24) night, he publicly slandered someone named Brad out of anger in the congregation by name (33:11-33:29), who ironically happen to be there and ended up asking Landon a question, where Landon proceeded to publicly mock and belittle him (38:36-38:45). For short, the same toxic reason he was kicked out of Harvest Bible Chapel (Illinois), is continuing at Mission Community Church. He should have never been hired, though itâs very common for those in disobedience to tolerate disobedience. FYI, heâs an amazing teacher. However, talent is cheap, character is everything.

Wow! You wanna talk about taking content out of context? Either this pastor has never taken a course and sermon preparation or he is intentionally trying to manipulate his congregation through the misapplication of scripture. Granted, adultery is wrong. Period. There is no allowance for it and it is unquestionably a sin. That being said, there were numerous problems with this sermon as presented First of all, committing adultery in your heart is not the same thing as committing adultery with your body. There is a clear delineation between the heart and the body and multiple areas of the Bible and lust thing after someone is not the same as committing adultery. Next, the entire David and Bathsheba story did not result in Davidâs son raping his daughter. Nor did it result, and David son killing another son. That sin of adultery was punished by the death of the baby. It is ridiculous to act like adultery has multigenerational impact. The New Testament does not support this Old Testament practice. If I was on half Dome, I would want to lay on the surfboard too. Why? Because itâs a far better view than one just 10 feet away. Thereâs living on the edge and thereâs living over the edge. This was a terrible example by someone Who clearly hasnât tried anything truly extraordinary in his entire life. Finally, I find pastors like this extremely intriguing. Having listened to several of this guy sermons, it is clear that he struggles with lust and looking at women. Finally, pastors of churches of this size frequently are controlling with dysfunctional staff that cater to their whim. I can imagine that this guy has refused to let his staff do some of the risky things that they wish they could do so that he can be content on a weekly basis, building his brand and building his personal local church. Ultimately, adultery is a sin, but this pastor really struck out with this terrible version of this message.
I love this church.
God does condemn, without turning from sin and accepting Jesus, God will condemn you to hell.
this is my favorite video on the internet

â€beautiful message
God bless you, this has blessed me so much. My prayer is that I will be connected to a church family where I can serve with my gifts.
Ought I to accept anxiety as a "cross?"
39:22 This
As I consider whether or not church could be for me, the more I think I'm not interested in services. Forty minutes seems like too much.
There's 168 hours in a week Scott, and you probably give 40 hours a week to your employer. You can't muster 1-2, or even 3 hours to God? I think đ€đŹ that's kinda patheticâŒïž Just my opinion †What will God say when you stand before him?
@@debbic6649 I wouldn't necessarily equate giving time to a church service to giving time to God. I didn't feel like I was spending time with God when the speaker stretched a 5 minute point into 40. I think the time would be better spent hearing the message and then praying on it. I forgive you calling my opinion "pathetic". Buffering it with saying it's just your opinion and using a heart emoji is like saying "no offense but...". I'll have a lot of things to say if I stand before God. Lots of questions.
I want something to believe in. I want to be a better person. I've never been religious or attended church. I sought out content today because I wanted to know if this might be for me. It may be. But I'm not convinced by any of the claims of Christianity. So I don't know how I can be a part of this community without that belief. I find it very frustrating.
Does the church have different groups for training people in their gifts? And, are there people designated by the church to pray for the healing of people?

Thank you for doing this, most churches don't address single people's pain and struggles.

This is kingdom now theology which is not biblical and becoming huge in the prosperity gospel movement as well as the New Apostolic Reformation Movement. We are not preparing the earth for Christâs return and bringing heaven to earth. Please read your Bible and ask the Holy Spirit for discernment. These passages she is using are being used out of context. The Bible specifically states there will be a great falling away prior to the rapture, then the 7 year tribulation, and then Christ ruling for a literal 1000 years. Do not believe anyone who says we can bring heaven to earth while Satan is so obviously active in the world today. There is a literal heaven full of things far greater than we will ever have in this life and anyone taking away that blessed hope away is doing it out of context. Please do not listen to her, Bethel, Joel Olsteen and other prosperity gospel teachers.
The church I left over four years ago, I went there for over 18 years and never heard a sermon salvation, sin, or repentance. Never a sermon on a controversial topic. Plus, they had several false heretical preachers as guest speakers.
Just like the last church i left. Rock music, lights, fog machine. No thanks.
