I have to do this about every 6 months. Is that normal? Surely this is a poor design wasting so much water? I've not had to do this with previous pressurised cylinders. Tip: use something (like a shop loyalty card) in the gap in the pressure relief valve so you don't have to stand there holding it open.

The second application of PTFE tape and sealant was not required. The tapered surfaces of the reducer makes the seal, not the threads. Secondly, don't use those cheap nasty valves. The 'aluminium' goes porous and the pressed steel bowl is a leaky fit on its 'O' ring. Finally, the filter bowl is not independent of the shut off valve so if it needs draining a drain-down is required.

total rubbish,,, doesnt work out the quantity of oil in cylindrical tank laid flat, just treats it the same as an upright one, hence the amount shown is totally irrelevant all its reading is the level,, stopped working altogether after a few months ,,,,, ill just stick to dipping the tank

Once it started to work not properly l got in touch with manufacturer, answered only to 2 of my emails, obviously blaming me for how l was using it, asked for my money back, never heard from them. What would cause the hot water to run fast for a few moments after heating, until a creaking noise occurs and it runs normally again, when the expansion vessel has been tested and is fine? The cylinder is indirect unvented and every possible valve that could have an air pocket has been checked.

My pressure relief valve is rated at 3 bar, so wouldn't 3 bar on the expansion vessel be too high, not allow expansion and potentially cause the relief valve to blow?

Very good video. However I would like to change the time. It does reset when the clocks change but it is always about 30 minutes ahead. How do I do this please?
