The dress Laurie picked out for Lindsey was atrocious, imo!! The flowers or whatever they were on the straps were cheesy looking imo Lindsey brought to many people with too many opinions though

I was plus sized when I got married, I ended up picking a bride's maid dress in ivory. I've been married 30 years, but I only paid $140 + $70 for alterations. Total I spent $210+tax. I just couldn't see paying a fortune to wear it only 5-6 hours. Instead, we put the money towards our honeymoon and went on a 3 week honeymoon!!

I actually liked the white dress that Evie tried on, the top is gorgeous. Idk, i felt like the pink one is something you see often, sans the color.

I just had my mom and one cousin go with me to pick my dress. I knew they would tell me the truth, but would know if it was something that I loved.

Um, I get trying to be nice to your soon to be stepkids. But there's factors that a kid isn't going to take into consideration. For one, what style is the bride going for? And another, they're thinking Disney Princesses and are influenced by those. I mean, if the bride wanted those kinds of dresses, the kids would say yes to practically anything.

We decided everything together and planned it completely together…except for the dress because I wanted to surprise him with it as I came down the aisle. We had a really small budget and a HUGE family… so it was a really good experience to see how we both worked together with money with needs vs wants. We had the perfect wedding 38 years ago TODAY!🎉

Some women as well as brides need a match maker. Let someone rlse do the looking - pick 5 choices and then offer the bride 5 to choose from. I have done that for several brides - girls from Vietnam to Tennessee to Georgia to Nevada. Always worked out. That is if you listen to the bride but know them as well and make your own choice that may eork better for their body and type of wedding. The eloping bridal planner stiffing friends and family will expect them to hold her hand and give her tissues when it all falls apart. Remember 50% of marriages end in divorce - 65% of second marriages etc etc etc.

If a couple is eloping then you shouldn’t be shopping with them for a dress or pay for something you aren’t invited to see. If they choose to do exclude everyone from their wedding you should take no part in its planning or financing it, let them do it all on their own.
