Hi! Kusadasi Town is within walking distance from the port, while to go to Ephesus, you can either book a tour or take a local bus called "Dolmus". You will find the bus stop on the main road. Everything is explained in the video. 😇 I haven't been to Izmir, but I guess you can take a local bus too.

I would first head to Taormina, the train station in Messina is within walking distance from the port (maybe 10-15 minutes) and trains depart several times per hour. You can check the timetables at the official website www.trenitalia.com/. I suggest you buy them online, and you can do it when you arrive in Messina. I would save at least 3 hours for Taormina, and it's enough because the place is small and everything is within walking distance. You can return to Messina by 4:30/5pm and have around 1.5-2 hours for Messina. You don't need more than that, the city center and the main square are a 5-minute walk from the ship. You'll find many taxis in front of the terminal, but most of them offer tours and transfers to further destinations like Pompeii, Amalfi, Sorrento, etc. But sure, I believe you'll be able to find those willing to take you to the train station. July is the high season in this part of Italy. What's your plan for Amalfi? The best option is to visit Amalfi by boat because local SITA buses are extremely crowded and ride takes a long time because roads are narrow and traffic is congested. If I were you, I would consider taking a train to Sorrento and then a boat to Amalfi. Or, if you find a good deal, book a tour to Amalfi, but Amalfi only. Yes, I completely get you, it takes at least half a day to properly visit Pompeii. My visit was also disappointing because the rain was pouring as you can see in the video. Hopefully, next time I go, it will be better 😇

This is the exclusive private island of Royal Caribbean International, which means that you can get here only if you are cruising with them. The food on cruise ships is free for all guests but since everyone is out when the cruise ships dock in CocoCay, they bring the food out and serve it on the island. The lunch is for free but there are also paid options (like Coco Beach Club).

Hi! Yes, you can definitely visit Mykonos Town by yourself, there's no need for a guided tour. The water taxi is 2 EUR one way and takes you directly to the town center from the port. You can also rent a car or take a public bus to go to the beaches. When it comes to weather, it's always a bit unpredictable for this time of year. The weather on the Greek Islands is usually nice but you never know. Mykonos is a bit windy compared to other islands I visited, but you shouldn't worry, it's really not a big deal and won't affect your time there. Enjoy your cruise, I am sure you will have a wonderful time! 🙂

Hi! You can explore Fira on your own because the cable car will take you from the port into the heart of Fira's old town. To get to Oia, you need to either take a taxi or a local bus (the bus option may take a while because the island gets congested in the high season). I suggest exploring on your own, but if your ship's time in port is very limited (or you want to explore beyond Fira and Oia), then you can book a guided tour or rent a car. Hope this helps! :)

Hey Steve, it was last May, the end of the month. The sea was calm even though it was constantly raining those days in that part of Europe, it rained in both Italy and Greece. The weather is always unpredictable but during the summer and last September we had very nice temperatures without storms. I live in Serbia, which is very close to Greece and Italy so we usually have the same weather. I wouldn't worry at your place, I am sure you'll have a wonderful cruise! It's the most beautiful part of the Mediterranean in my opinion. :)

Hello! I actually use Airalo's e-SIM card. In the description of this video, you'll see the link, all you need to do is download the app and choose the regional or local SIM card, they have many options depending on the country or region you want to have covered. I used it in Greece, Spain, Italy and the US, it worked great and it's affordable, and the best thing is - you don't have to physically buy it and insert it in your device. As for Hop on Hop off, they are in front of each terminal and they include stops at major landmarks, so you can choose where to hop off.
