Yike, that had to be demoralizing for Jas---she made virtually zero headway in every area, while Silva was stellar in every way.

WOW! That looked like Joanna vs Jessica Andrade.

Silva running the whole 3rd round cause she knew she was up on the score cards. I hate that. You're supposed to fight every minute like you're losing. Not take the last round off cause you're ahead. If she keeps doing that, she will get no respect. Jasmine on the other hand, was losing every minute of every round. But she tried constantly to find a way to finish her opponent. Jasmine needs more skill, and Silva needs more heart. Hopefully they both improve

Marina Rodriguez was so relaxed and in control, she probably could gone 10 rounds without being winded. Reminds me of the Ronda Rousey fight when Ronda kept trying to keep the fight on the ground, and Holly Holmes just kick box her until she was to gased to fight or block. Michelle is a skilled kicker, yet she was too fatigued to execute a powerful strike.

Tecia's footwork and stance reminds me of Frankie Edgar

What blew me away is that Marina used very little that was unique to MMA, most of what she did was straight Muaythai Waterson would have taken fewer shots to the face if she had parried more, and if she had used her karate background to fight on the outside and forced her opponent to wrestle, Marina would have played more into that part of Michelle's game. Eventually Waterson got finished off her own take down against the fence, which seems to be where Marina is the strongest, at least in this fight. Fighting against the cage and using Michelle's wrestling against her seems to have been the game plan That's the thing about wrestling If your background is BJJ, your opponent's answer doesn't involve using your BJJ against you If you're a striker, your opponent has very little to use against you so that your own strikes are to your disadvantage, maybe a wrestler can use your high kicks against you, boxing and low kicks (dutch kickboxing) is harder to do that against. If you're a wrestler on the other hand, a muay thai fighter is strong in the clinch and a BJJ fighter can work submissions off the ground, thus weaponizing your wrestling against you, which is what Marina did to Michelle in the clinch

Marina is accurate and powerful. She is not heavier than her opponents. But her hands and knees are. :)

unfortunately for Waterson, she has zero power. Kinda hard to keep someone like Rodriguez off of you when you can tag her right on the chin and she walks right through it.
