That's why the French haven't been competitive since de Gaulle died.

I told a French person that I had gotten a new job and I was quitting my current job. Since I wanted to take a mini vacation before starting my new one, I gave my boss only a 1 week notice. They were horrified I hadn’t given my boss a whole month to find a new person.

I can’t believe people take this show so seriously lol probably a result of our ultra-woke internet these days. I think it’s hilarious and I was born in france and french is my first language

LOL!!! As an American, this is soo foreign to me! Ya know how many times I've been fired from my previous jobs, like 2 times from a big corporation, and its sucks! Your whole life is turned upside down and you are put in a stressful position on how you will pay your bills or what to do next.

French socialism. French people hate the idea of working hard to make their owners rich. They also focus on enjoying life not enjoying work. They have pretty strong unions there ans employees are so aware.

@@freudba1578 True, as a French dude, I can only relate. You have a trial period but once it’s over you are pretty safe. I’ll add the fact that people here work less hours than our European neighbours (around 35-39h) and enjoy 5 weeks off a year.

@@freudba1578 Worker syndicates made a great job during one century defending workers in factories, coal mines and so on. Healthcare, limits of hours per week, hollidays, minima salaries. Each time some law were voted and applied for all the workers.
