You cant really say a disgrace to boxing that ship has sailed years ago,before I was born. Kid playing mike tysons punch out,id say during that time most fights were not rigged and they pointed it out exhibition fights.When they came to fairgrounds and such,the main talent was an exhibition and most of the rest were real and recorded I think. People rising ranks,so 80s 90s then poof went back to nothing besides some major fights after 80s n 90s.
You’re right, I think the reason they’re calling it a disgrace now is because those “exhibition” or” freak fights” are being pushed more so then “actual boxing”
