Thank you Father for your thoughtful witness. For me you have the perfect balance of intellectual integrity tethered to Truth, with the practical humility of someone not cut off from reality. More priests and Catholics should speak less about berating the Pope, Bishop Barron and others, to maximise their views on CZcams. Your tackling of the Scandal is particlarly heart warming. i have offered occasional (not enough) reoaration prayers to the Sacred Heart for the Scandals. We cannot do like Muslims and say of Jihadists they are not one of us. Nor should we cite the way the media have focussed mainly on us. Although the media has done this, in the UK as a smokescreen for scandals in the BBC and other institutions, it is not a good enough excuse for not tackling the evils that occurred. Loved the stuff on "good old days". As a teenager of the 90s when i hear that, from people my age i cite the 2 genocides of the 90s in Rwanda and Kosovo. Also the "strutting". My goodness, during Covid, as the weather was amazing for a change in England, men and women, strutting around whilst people were dying. The arrogance was staggering. Thank you Father!

Do you think that the prophet Samuel could be considered an Old Testament type opf St John the Baptist? Two reasons for this:- 1] Both had been born to overage mothers who had previously been considered barren [so were Isaac and Samson]. 2] Samuel found David of Bethlehem, the shepherd boy and later anointed him King of Israel. John found Jesus, the Good Shepherd, originally from Bethlehem,and proclaimed him to be the Anointed Son of God, the Messiah. I consider King David to be one of the two most interesting Old Testament characters [Moses is the other].Do you know if there is a Biblically accurate film [movie] or dramatised documentary, on the life of King David? There are Hollywood versions but these may not be accurate.

Hi Fr. Larry. I recommend for your intros to match the meditation, this provides perfect looping or re-watching for sleep and rest. Your intros should be included in the meditation in the same relaxing voice and music so it's not so jarring. :) Thank you and I hope to see more mediation videos in the future with more soothing intros. lol thank you. Thank-you Father. Love your videos. I had watched a video by Fr Gregory Pine where he said we cannot wound (offend) God, which I found confusing since we say in the Act of Contrition, "O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee." So I found your explanation of the Latin root of offend very helpful. But now wondering, if we do not offend (standard usage) God does it follow that we cannot please Him either? In other words, since God already loves us at a God level, how could we possibly increase that? Our small attempts at doing good are not pleasing?
