We are Liam and Claire follow us as we make it up as we go along trying to renovate our budget Italian farmhouse.
Italian house renovation rustic kitchen Ep 7.
we continue with our rustic kitchen build, worktops, shelves and panelling. we also knock the plaster off one wall as it is too damp to paint. we are getting closer to finishing the kitchen then it will be time to get the house hooked up to the water main for the first time in decades. we are learning more and more about our forgotten Italian farmhouse everyday, looking forward to having a little bit of down time to enjoy some Italian wine and obviously fabulous Italian food. our off grid life is slow going at the moment but our future plans are for a massive allotment garden, beehives and more solar. once we get a small area of the property to live in we can start on the bigger projects like the roof and and outside areas.

Solar and wiring, this week we mount the panels and start the wiring, our goal to be self sufficient for power takes a step forward. we still have masses of skills to learn more so with filming and editing, our equipment is very limited and so is our knowledge but we will continue non the less perhaps slowly but we will get there. @VictronEnergyBV @escapetothequinta @theoriginhomestead

you should invest a few euros in video equipment, the quality leaves a lot to be desired, otherwise everything is ok, I can't wait for the developments in the renovation
thanks for your comment, yes we need to up our game but I am confident further down the line the video quality and content will improve. Given my lack off camera and editing skills we were never going to be an instant hit more a massive work in progress just like the farmhouse. Thanks for watching and commenting.

I know hopefully video quality will improve as we get more knowledge. we are not only learning how to renovate but also how to film.
what's up with the aspect ratio? what kinda camera are ye using?
I know sorry about that ive got a sony a7 I have got the settings wrong, i have tried to alter it in the editing but it wont change. the quality of our videos will hopefully get better further down the line. at the moment the footage we have is what we have.

thank you for taking the time to comment, yes the house is in an awful state and we are under no illusions just what a massive task it is going to be to put it right, only time will tell if we are up to the job. mind you if you think the outside is a mess wait till you see inside.

Hi yes you are dead right I do need something to improve the audio, we are only just finding our feet regarding filing and editing and we have masses to learn. so apologies for quality of my footage.
How far away from the house did you have to go with your panels?
Panels are about 150 meters away, but we will probably place them elsewhere when we put them in permanent. only put them there to test the system for a potential future project.
