Just seen your channel for first time, I loved the airshow vlogs! There are far too few females covering aviation and airshows in particular on CZcams so it's great to see. You should go back to Duxford next week for the Battle of Britain airshow, it's looking epic 👍

A girl after my own heart.. Duxford is my go to/2nd home 😄 I was last there for the Spitfire cockpit experience a few months back. I was lucky to spend an hour or so sitting in the Spitfire and was asked if I wanted to sit in their 2 seater Hurricane, BE505.. My answer was ‘absolutely!’ 😁

Really great to watch but I've seen all these planes before many times so I did not go. As a 50 year spotter with 30,000 planes seen I would recommend you video Duxford in September and the LAA rally at Leicester at the end of august(700 planes in 3 days) or the RIAT in July or the MLTF in popham in May if you want to although there are countless other videos on CZcams covering these. You have done a good job as videos of east kirkby are rare as its a lincolnshire event not much known about in the big UK cities

We visited EK 8 years ago, I had booked a Lancaster taxy ride to celebrate my step-dads 60th birthday.. His uncle was a Lancaster pilot with 100 squadron. He and his crew (except the tail gunner) were KIA after returning from a mission, at night, and crashing upon landing. Their aircraft was shot up and had 2 engines out. They narrowly missed a line of houses as they were so low, but he managed to avoid them, but crashed on the runway at White Waltham I believe. I’m proud to have his logbook in my possession. Anyway, we managed to stand behind the pilot and engineer for the taxy ride. It was incredible, the sound of all 4 RR Merlin’s

That was great! Did you notice the Mustang was whistling at you? Its not just the compressor its the gun ports too - four (I think) protruding pipes on each wing. They start when close to a stall ( in some circumstances) so he was just puttering along - but no doubt I'll be corrected on that one! Thank you and much Aroha from Aotearoa (NZ)

I was a Cadet, supposed to be doing traffic control at RAF Hullavington in 196?. It was a perfect day and I lay on my back and watched the Zlins and Pitts Specials do their thing. Amazing and I think I still have a signed photo of Pop Pitts somewhere and the lapel badge. Happy days!

My buddy and I are really into WW2 aircraft and we went to Duxford while in England/Scotland I could not believe that facility! the people were extremely friendly to us yanks and even lowered the 'ropes' for us to get a better view. You could hear planes taking off... when we looked outside we seen 3 Spitfires taking of with a P47 unreal! What a great time. A woman serving coffee brought out some creamer for me LOL cause she knew we Americans liked it and her husband was American. I have several souvenirs from that day including a mug.

Great to watch.

This drooping nose function looks mechanical and old fashioned because it's of a time when technology was mainly just mechanical and fairly less computerised so human operators had to fully take control of the craft with their expertise. l think a 21st century version of the Concord would have surpassed this whole mechanical function of drooping the nose altogether with sophisticated camera tech and other sensors but it still looks nice and attracts the chicks maybe, because why else?

My wife and I have flown and done Aeros in G-IILX. This was at White Waltham August 2021. It’s a wonderful machine. It was my wife’s first flight in a light aircraft. She was buzzing for weeks…….

Modern Aeros are so ugly. What happened to the grace of a Zlin, the poetry of a Bucker or the struggle against mass of a Chipmunk? All sadly missed in a world of prescision angles and big control surface capability. Sad.

Thanks, that was terrific. PR Spits like PR Mosquitos were beautiful in their blue scheme in lieu of their role and heights they flew. I recall years ago speaking to a navigator on PR Mossies and his role in looking to the rear to tell his pilot... hard port turn now etc. as an Me 262 approached within firing range.
