They're definitely possessed though I have a feeling the second FNAF film will set the record straight. Even the movies are not a 1:1 retelling and are their own universe, I feel like this detail should at least be some kind of confirmation on whether the DCI are haunting them or they're the result of the original MCI's remnant brining them to life. The thing about the facial recognition is how trusted could it be? Like in fnaf 1 they literally mention the animatronics stuffinh you cuz they think you are a endo. Which is either an excuse or even the fnaf 1 animatronics do have some in built facial recognition system in them. But we really know why they stuff the guards. So then isn't it easily make sense for the toys to work the same way as the og's and the facial recognition being either apart of their killer instincts or just an excuse

I personally think her hook and hand should switch places as I see her as a flipped version of foxy. Mangle Also has two right hands but no left hand so I also think that this means her hook would have featured on her left hand as opposed to foxy who has his hook on the right hand

phone guy is not in fnaf 3, only the recordings that were found, since fnaf 2 is before fnaf 1 and fnaf 3 is after both, this is because in fnaf 2 mangle (on VHS) did the bite of 87' which is then mentioned in fnaf 1, he also dies in fnaf 1 meaning fnaf 2 must be before it, the withered animatronics also don't look the same as the original fnaf 1 animatronics meaning because fnaf 2 closed and repaired the withered ones they were formed to the state of fnaf 1, does this make sense?
