We needed a dresser for the main bedroom in our new home. The one I picked up was pretty outdated and orange! Today I'm sharing how I toned down the orange wood by adding a paint wash to the wood. I love the final Coastal Vibe! Hope you enjoy this video.

This was a fun styling moment in our new home that has become one of our favorite spots! We wanted a place where friends and family could kick back and enjoy some board games-something as simple as plopping down on pillows to gather round for a fun evening. You don't need a big space to create something functional and stylish. I'll show you how we carved out part of our living room to create this cozy spot. I'm using vintage pieces and thrifted finds to give this special nook a timeless feel. Hope you enjoy!

The colors are great and your decor is lovely

This is a quick video demo of how we stained our concrete floors in our former home. Even though it is a brief overview, I hope it gives you an idea of the process. I would recommend working with a contractor who specializes in decorative concrete work. If you have an artistic eye or ability, talk to your sub about your vision and working with them to create it. Our contractor allowed me to pick our colors and lead the design. I even got to spray some of the stain which was so fun! The floors came out amazing and I would definitely try this again. Here are my comments. I like the color of the sheets. I like the blanket and the small blanket, the color contrast is perfect. Personally, I would’ve use king size pillows in front of the headboard and then the throw pillows. I would not have put flower baskets on the bed. It doesn’t make sense.. Good choice with the Candleholders on the side table. The curtains did not blend well with your design theme maybe white lace curtains. White curtains with small floral patterns.

I saw once where someone had put the sheet on upside down so when you pull it over the comforter, it is showing the right side up and not the underside of the sheet.

I love the colors. My mother always had us make the bed with the sheets right side together so it is pretty turned back. I think I’ll be looking for these colors. That’s so pretty together.

I really like the green however the plant is dangerous around children for the leaves are especially very pointed and if children play or move around quite a bit they could be partial to knock an eye out. Your choice of plant would be best if it was an ivy. They don't call me Miss safety for nothing. LOL food for thought

It is my opinion that it looks nice but I'm one of those kind of people that does not like a lot of pillows on my bed. I don't like to put them on and I don't like to take them off. So I particularly care for the vintage look the bedspread and not the comforter therefore the spread covers the two sleeping pillows and then you could add perhaps only three pillows.. I personally just like to add like maybe a stuffed kitten... that way you just folded back or take it off and you're ready for bed and the same way of making it up it's easy and it's fast... and it also looks very nice and neat... don't knock it till you try it. LOL
