I started recording way after the action began, at this point we are riding with the front group of about 7 men, making our way to Port Jefferson. Surprisingly the battery lasted exactly to the point where we got to the parking lot.
Since I am NOT in top shape (due to few setbacks this year), I decided to follow the wheels of the usual hammer-heads in our core group and try to keep it safe.

I was right there in the front when the winning breakaway formed and felt great, just when I started feeling my rear tire getting soft.. Unfortunately the cut was too big for the sealant to seal so it didn't hold even when I came back to back of the race. Fun! 😒🤬

Great race with few break attempts, one big solo attack on the first lap. Unfortunately none of them stuck. I was holding a good position on my teammate's wheel at the last lap getting ready to sprint but a very sketchy end with touching handlebars got me a little off, got swarmed from both sides and decided not to go all out to the line.

2 weeks off the bike - felt very fresh but knew I shouldn't work too hard since I lost a bit of that edge, so mostly set in the front and tried to avoid problems. 273 NP for ~49 minutes. 13th place.

First race of the year for me. I was trying to stay in the front and to be safe as much as I could, I had a couple of moves that didn't stick, one after the second prime and one right before the end of the race. All and all it was a good training race for me.

Last race at Floyd this year. A brand new awesome race located in Staten Island. This is a combined 3/4 field with the 1/2/3, small field. There were many attacks and great racing tactics, loved it! Perhaps some of the most beautiful roads in NY, going from Brewster station thru Fahnestock State Park to Bear Mountain. This is the first hour of our ride with David and Erik, in a very hot day. Just purchased one but for 2022 tcr rim brake and I have a problem with fit my wheel I need to force it

huge effort! I just climbed it for the first time last week. can't wait to do it again. My watts were significantly lower than yours - i think i came in at around 215avg. 280 watts average is the top of my vo2 range tho - so i'm not touching that...for now. 215 - is the top of my tempo range. Give me a year or two to get my ftp up 😂

I would have loved to see Cheddar get used to this trailer in SMALL doses. He looks terrified, and I'm surprised I didn't see him hurl with all the bumps and the higher speed he was expected to endure. And how about a nice orthopedic cushion for him to absorb the bumps. Wouldn't be surprised if he refuses to ever jump in that unit again! I know this was all well intentioned, but the process could use a lot of improvement.
This isn’t Fahnestock, numbnuts. The market they briefly stop at towards the end of their hour long bike ride is called Putnam Valley Market.
They have since added splitters for the straps which is nice

Hi, Great video and super upgrades to your bike. i am looking to get a Contend SL 1 Disc but the geometry is identical - however, i just wanted to ask you what is your height? I am 179cms and I am in between sizes. I need to place an order and since there is a shortage of bikes, if I am lucky will have just one piece available of either size M or ML. This is my first road bike, and I have mostly MTBs, Hybrid (Currently a Scott subcross 30 in size L). I have tried riding a Medium Size Decathlon Triban 500, but it took me a while to get adjusted to it.. especially the seating position and the reach.
I wouldn't know what will work best for you since it's a bit more complicated than just height. I am 175cms and went with the M. In general, if you between sizes, it s recommended to go with the smaller one and perhaps get a longer stem if you need.

Always want but afraid to do that climb when I'm in the catskills. Might sign up for the tour and do it with a group as it looks brutal.
There's only one way to find out how hard it is lol You definitely want to pace yourself correctly going up that climb. You want to start easy even If it feels like you have a lot more at the beginning. That day I didn't have the legs and was also a bit overweight so I definitely felt it 🤣
