Summer Bike Ride | Portland, Oregon | Lifestyle Vlog
Summer is still here and we're back home in Portland to take you on a super easy summer bike ride!
This is our favorite loop to do when the weather is nice and we want a chill day of easy cruising. It's nothing rigorous or hilly, so we hope you'll check it out some time.
The Loop:
We'll start in the south waterfront, head north along Waterfront Park, and then cross the Steel bridge to the Eastbank Esplanade. From there, we'll bike south along the eastbank, connect to the Springwater Corridor, and follow the Sellwood bridge back over to the westside. For the final stretch of this loop, we will weave through Willamette Park and end up back in the more modern southwest waterfront. Along the way, we'll grab coffee at a low-impact coffee shop, show you some of our favorite viewpoints, stop at a newly opened food cart, and take a quick pitstop through Oaks Amusement Park.

thank you so much for watching! my favorite street in this video is Montee de la Grande Cote which connects the Terreaux quarter and the Plateau de la Croix Rousse. Those retro stairs can be found tucked back in an apartment building on Rue Pouteau. Definitely worth finding! And the delicious crepes are from BREIZH Cafe, known for their crepes and cider. 10/10! we will definitely start adding some of these details into our videos - thanks for the suggestion!

Oui! Tres bien! French is awesome. My better half is studying French. Came in handy when we went to Paris back in Feb. Hint: video recap of that trip. I'm studying Spanish and both languages overlap so much. But what killed me in my very limited FR vocab was the difference in FR and SP vowels. My mind was doing cartwheels! Ay dios mio! well, this is my third comment in 3 vids. You got a new sub!

I miss living in this neighborhood. I lived on 39th and Hawthorne from '04 to '08 and it was so much fun to play a gig at the Hawthorne Theater then just walk across the street to our home for the after party. Memento is a great shop. Further down Hawthorne is the amazing Space Room bar and the Quarterworld Arcade. I love visiting this area. Thanks for the vid and the fun reminders.
