I'm 8 minutes into this video & ready to turn it off. I was actually ready at 4! This dog is terrified of this woman or master I should say. I don't for one minute believe that after having her for 3 weeks she hasn't taught her anything except her name. She has taught her fear. The dog cowers around her. Shame on you & your technique! PS- I am no novice when it comes to dogs especially German Shepherds!

I only have one friend who has a dog a spaniel and he is really good with puppies and my dog follows him everywhere when we go for a walk with them but it's the only time I can let him off the lead because otherwise he will not come back to me

I have got a new Lakeland terrier puppy in December of last year and I am having some issues with him like not coming back and he is still not being calm when I take him out for a walk.

And, you can teach an old dog new tricks. I love that you are teaching humans to be the Alpha and to have dog do something for you. We don't want to be their litter mate.

In the same way, in a wolf pack the entire pack will train the puppies their manners. The omegas will play more with the puppies but the higher ranks will put those puppies in their place and offer security through correction. Good job!

I get it now. There are many companies that will give you a letter for your landlord and a vest for going out in public, no matter how your dog behaves. It's wrong. I'm glad I wasn't taken in. It was tempting but I didn't do it.

When I get out of hospital, if I'm better, I'm going to train my 1y.o. Lakeland Terrier to be an assistance dog. We have only been apart twice and I'm missing him incredibly. Seeing a Lakeland Terrier being trained by Pat was great. As was seeing a gorgeous Lakie.

And I am here because I just adopted an 18 month old Pitt who is so sweet and playful, but has no manners! Takes you for a walk, jumps on you, up on counters and tables, plays so rough. He's getting manners quick, cause he's too big to do all that! Lol

Half of the time these people don't even have doctor's notes. They just slap a vest on it and call it a service dog and buisnesses have allowed it. It's sad. I've seen SIX WEEK OLD PUPS in GROCERY STORES. Owner training has also gotten out of hand. Too many people don't know what they are doing and are "training" and working dogs in public that are severely anxious or reactive. They don't know how to train and will slap it or just CONSTANTLY lure it. OWNER TRAINING IS TAKEN FOR GRANTED IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING PLEASE SEEK HELP!!!! Getting dogs for Service work is very difficult. You have to find a dog that you can meet its needs and it can meet your needs. Good breeding is only one small part, for mental stability and healthy growth. Training continues the FOUNDATION that breeding sets but training needs to be done correctly. I've seen one too many teenagers RUIN their service dogs with bad Training. Too many kids getting dogs without temperament testing and researching breeds.
