Does that engine seem to have a lot of vibration ?? High or low throttle make a difference any? Which oil weight are you running 10/30 or 20/50 Kawi ? Yours appears to have minimal vibration // mine is rough. Makes my hands vibrate on the mower... Great video , thanks !!
Anyone know where I can get the throttle linkage shown running vertical on the right side of the carb? When I look none of them have the small black plastic piece for the spring?
If You just removed and/or cleaned the carb... This will happen as air chases out of the carb. raise the idle with the governor until low/mid rpm's and steady rpm's... keep tyhe gas flowing. Let it run, rev it here and there using linkage... start lowering rpm's down with governor... keeping just higher than where it will start rugh-idling again. Happens everytime I clean a big carb, it'll clear in a few minutes. If not, you have more carb problems... air/fuel, gaskets, bad o-rings will flood the carb or push too much fuel...
+Smaznet, I cleaned the carb out as thoroughly as possible without taking the jets out and it ran much better. I probably still need to take the jets out and clean it even better.
❤
For anyone wondering carb adjustment from bottomed out is roughly 2 1/2 - 3 turns out. Kawasaki FH541V
Thank you this video helped me fix my throttle plate position!!!

Hey did you ever figure out the problem mine does this cold or hot
Lean mixture... intake gaskets leak or clean the carb.
Good work.
Clean/Rebuild the carb and adjust the governer linkage.
Now mines doing it
same and then when I try to mow it will only mow for like an hour then just shut off like its not getting gas
did you fix the problem you were having? looks like this video was shot after the one you posted showing a problem

+The Flush Mine only ran like this after I got it hot (mowed for about 30 -45 min). Was this what yours was doing?
+Smaznet IIRC it was usually after the engine was hot.
Smaznet .
did you ever figure out what was causing this? Mine is doing the exact same thing.
