    Id love to see where they got 3-4lbs from because mine is about 7lbs. Also the connector that came with it was faulty and my trigger wouldn’t break. Put an OEM connector on and it worked. The adjustments work as they say and the shortened pull/reset is nice but the weight of the trigger just nullifies that success. If they can get the trigger weight to actually be 3-4 lbs, this would be an amazing trigger.

    Please tell everyone that Hornady quietly switched from small rifle primers to large rifle primers in the 450 bushmaster without telling anyone. Total horse shit. Not advertised on the box, Those guys just switched it. I spent 2 bucks a round for cases I can't reload. I've got loads of small rifle primers and NO large rifle primers. Why didn't Hornady tell anyone? Total betrayal. Those guys should be better than this.

    Great video! Can you speak to the twist rates? I have read some info saying if you went with a barrel shorter than 7" to only get a 1:5 twist rate, so it has a little faster (and more?) stabilization of the bullet. I notice there is only a handful of makers that are using the shorty barrels, and some of those use 1:5 and some do not. Personally, I think the barrels just under 7" would be the sweet spot, to allow the gun to still be very compact after adding the silencer to it. I like the Rattler, but man they are proud of it with that huge price tag. For about half the price, I have my eye on a 5" Aero Precision, but am still doing the research on it. (only finding a couple of videos on YT with it) Thanks

    A radian or Geisllie bolt catch would help reach it easier with the left trigger finger. Just make sure the grip has a smaller beaver tail so it doesn’t push your hand too far from the controls

    Just got a side charging .300 BO upper to use as a training rifle for stepping the grandkids up from .22s. It should be way easier for them to run the bolt than the conventional handle. Being raised with bolt actions, a Mossberg 351, then the Garand, M14 and M1 Carbine, the side charger just fits my six decades of muscle memory better than the rear handle.

    • @DeltaTeamTacticalMedia
      @DeltaTeamTacticalMedia Před 17 dny

      A side charger is for sure an easier way to run the bolt. And it's definitely a good idea to get what you are more comfortable with.

    Ref recoil - The Fritz Tactical brake on my 18" 450 takes the recoil down to approximately the same as a 16" .308 M5 with a linear brake. Not a punishing level at all.

    I have the SCT17 frame with their internals and I just don't like the internals and the fact that they still don't have a magwell after 1 year on the market. The trigger absolutely sucks IMHO. Glock trigger is actually much better...Who would have thought that? It does have a nice audible reset, but mine is awful spongy and just blah!

    395grain sub xs loaded with shooters world blackout to about 1600 fps hurts. I don’t remember the exact load off the top of my head but it’s somewhat brutal on the shoulder, worse than a 12 guage

  • @justanothergunnerd8128

    It's an interesting idea, but why? No one really needs this caliber, an ultra-niche round that has very little real world use or practicality for non ultra niche folks.I don't use .300 BLK because it's kind of dumb and other, more widely available rounds can do the exact same thing under most circumstances - but I would definitely buy a .300 BLK over this round any day of the week.

    • @warrenginn8448
      @warrenginn8448 Před 17 dny

      As someone who owns and shoots his 300blk and 8.6 blk i can tell you that you are uninformed. 8.6 is king for supressed night hunting of hogs or deer. 10 years ago 300blk was niche too. Now its in every store. The difference is supressed energy. 350gr 8.6 going 1075fps is approx 900ftlb of energy. With the 1 in 3 twist and solid copper expanding bullets, it will lawnmower thru tissue. Key is suppressed. Quiet. Think .44 magnum but no ear pro. Its fantastic under thermal. Great round

    • @azurumishinji1697
      @azurumishinji1697 Před 12 dny

      300blk is the best home defense setup, so I wouldn't call it dumb. Assuming you have good ammo and a suppressor.

    The use of all top notch gun components makes the human factor in the upgrade smaller in comparison. But this guy's experience with the Mil Spec trigger moves the human comparison right back up there! He should have got an average shooter to shoot! But it looks like a drop in for me.

      @@DeltaTeamTacticalMedia I like the smoother break and in most cases a quicker reset. Most Mil-Specs are perfectly fine for plinking but if you want more precision or like to run drills I think drop-ins are the way to go.
