I was just there two days ago.

Once you find it, you know where it is. Finding it the 1st time even with navigation tools is difficult. Drove by it several times and missed the turn because I was too busy watching traffic.

I do not have notes about the cost of the shuttle. I had called the hotel a few days before the cruise to ask about the shuttle. The front desk person did not make shuttle reservations but said there would be an information kiosk in the lobby and that on the morning of the cruise there would be a shuttle person in the lobby whose responsibility was to dispense information, schedule pick-up, sell tickets, and assist with baggage. Shuttle fee was per person. I do not remember if the fees were different for children and adults. I do not remember if there was a round trip package. On the morning of the cruise the shuttle activity appeared to run smoothly. There were at least 2 shuttle busses (20 passenger size). My Lyft app showed available roaming vehicles, with rates, in the area. Rates shown were close to what was listed 48 hours earlier for a reservation. At the end of the cruise the taxi queue had a variety of cars, compact to 6 passenger vans. There was a separate area for private and Lyft/Uber pick-ups. We went with a taxi because the driver stated a precise fee that was close to Lyft fees I was seeing with the app. At that time the Hampton Inn offered one night hotel stay and cruise week parking. There was no package deal that included the shuttle. I do not know what the current offerings are now. Sometimes by calling a hotel directly you may be offered a package not mentioned on a web site.

Early morning coffee in Central Park. Watching others partake with pickleball, on-board zip line, surf ride, and carousel. Ice show. All the places to eat and never going to the buffet. I never went to a pool. I never sat in a hot tub or shallow pool. But on sea days, although I walked all over the ship, it seemed I lingered often in the forward solarium decks.

With enforced COVID restrictions to get on the ship and into ports, we were at low capacity and almost no children. I never went to the areas for go karts and laser tag. There were no large groups of children at the pools and slides. But because of COVID, cruising at that time was said to be risky. Now, cruising is back for all age groups.

As for using the ship model, I stole the idea from the way cruise lines use CGI to describe features of their new ships under construction. Almost all ships have a large model onboard. Sometimes the model is in a place where it cannot be easily photographed or videoed. I've always been curious about the decor of main dining rooms. Sometimes there are officers or cruise directors who can answer questions but usually I do my own research either before or after a cruise. thank-you for watching, and for the comment.

Central Park is quiet in the early morning. Every morning Central Cafe had warm beverages, pastries and yogurt fruit cups. Central Park has no "roof." Loud music from the pools spilled over the edges; often started soon after noon and blasted away until about 4 or 5 p.m. In the evenings Central Park had live low volume music: jazz, folk, soft rock. The Bistro, adjacent to the Solarium, deck 15 forward, offered a breakfast buffet, not as extensive as the Windjammer, a lot quieter and no chaos. It got crowded earlier each day as more people discovered it. By mid-day in the Solarium there was always a murmur of voices with occasional shouts, but not enough to prevent normal conversion. The Vue Bar, deck 15 port side off the elevator opened late in the mornings. Early mornings it was favored by sunrise watchers, readers, and other quiet people. The ship's daily paper, in room TV, phone app and elevator lobby screens report times for sunrise and sunset times. Often, they were off by plus or minus 10 minutes. A landscape person for Central Park told me the potted plants in Central Park are changed routinely. By May the rosemary will be replaced, maybe with Penta and/or other star cluster colorful blooming plants.

Words of warning: 20 restaurants, 19 bars, 8 neighborhoods, on-board zip line, 2 climbing walls, surf rider, late night parties in the Royal Promenade, casino, shows (Ice skating, InTense, Voices, and others, karaoke, club shows, audience participation shows), pools, wet slides, dry slides, BBQ, zip lines, water activities, shopping at Perfect Day at Coco Cay and Labadee, The Solarium, spa, gym, sunrises & sunsets, and a bunch of things I do not remember at the moment. If you try to do it all on one cruise, you will need a vacation from your vacation. PS ride the carousel on the Boardwalk.

I do not know why my answer to your question did not go out correctly last week. I hope this attempt works. After the post COVID cruise restart I have not traveled in Europe. Therefore, I do not have recent firsthand travel experiences on the islands of the Mediterranean Sea. In 2019 on Santorini, it appeared that bus tours were trying to schedule routes and stops in a way that allowed the big busses to move along the roadways without blocking each other. As soon as one bus departed the bus parking lot at Oia another bus was in position to fill the parking space. Hopefully you may arrive on shore between the returning morning bus tours and departing afternoon bus tours. Have a prepared route and destination plan, with alternatives. Study street level videos and photos for landmarks. If there is a waiting line for a view/photo point, try not to return going against the waiting line. There may be a less congested exit with a path to your next destination. Although scenic, walking between Fira and Oia can take hours. There is more than one road for motor vehicles between Oia and Fira. Each way has interesting views. Your choice. If your ship is staying overnight, then be the first person off the ship in the morning even if it is at sunrise. Know in advance where your tender is going. Tenders going to a big bus tour do not go the landing at Fira and a long scenic bus ride up the cliffside and along the ridge may or may not be what you want. If landing at the dock for Fira, the fastest way to the top may be the cable car but verify operating times. When using the stair way, up and down, be watchful for donkey urine and manure. If leaving Fira to go to Oia, in advance map out the most direct path to the public bus and taxi lot.

80 to 90 Fahrenheit and humid. Long sleeve shirt for sun protection. At night at sea a long sleeve or light windbreaker is recommended.

Thank-you for watching. When we reserved for the trip, we got bedroom E on the City of New Orleans and a few hours passed before I realized I should check the Zephyr accommodations. Calling reservations, I learned that all bedrooms were reserved, although not all for all parts of the trip; some would be empty between some stations. Moving bags at odd times and in one segment changing cars was not something we wanted to do. I tried to do a video segment about the ladder to show that there is no good place for it if one wants to walk about the room. No good place to set-up the camera with a wide-angle lens while demonstrating climbing into and out of the bunk while the train is moving. Maybe I could have done several takes with the camera in different locations and several ups and downs the ladder. I wonder how many people have stepped on the slide out table or set a foot in the sink. When we get to the age when the top bunk is not an option, we will have to have adjoining rooms or side-by-side roomettes. Good point: call in a reservation to request specific bedroom(s), else it is a random assignment. Changes later may increase the cost.

@@jamesmcallister8124 While traveling away from the main entrance keep the main spring and river to your left. Reference frame at 3:04. In the area of the curve, to the right is a small sign at the start of the path to the sink hole. As I look at the frame with the white arrow, it would be better if the arrow were rotated to point to the right side of the road. See the map at time 0:48.
