Big Bend National Park | 3 Days exploring the best kept secret in Texas!
Big Bend is one of the least visited National Parks in the U.S.A due to how isolated it is from civilization. It is located on the Southern border with Mexico only separated by the Rio Grande River. This is our third time visiting, this time around we visited in late February. We always visit in the fall and winter time to avoid the extreme desert heat in the summer.

2023 was 170 inches, 2024 has 94 inches of snow
Im going in august for a few days trying to decide on a big hike 10 miles round trip or less any suggestions. I love waterfalls and swimming and hiking if mist trail will be low thinking of doing something different

This was in the Many Glacier area. We also explored Going to the Sun Road

Thanks! I was hiking by myself which did help me keep a fast pace. I usually hike with friends and family and have to take breaks to make sure everyone is good

Awesome video. My wife and I hike to Vernal Falls every year, but the full Half Dome trail is def a bucket list hike. Would you say the trail after Nevada but before sun dome is just as steep as the Mist Trail, or does it get more gradual after?
The section of the trail after Nevada Falls is the Little Yosemite Valley section and is relatively flat for a mile or two. It’s definitely the easiest part of trail in my opinion

I was hiking alone so I had the leisure of going at my own pace without taking a lot of breaks. Also, I was an Infantryman in the Army so I’m used to hiking with a ton of weight on my back 😅

Why tear the dam down You have a large amount of fresh water and tons of microorganisms and fish and other things in there and if the lake is that deep in the pics and you tear down the dam all those things will die and the water is nice to have because if you have a drought and don’t have water Were will you get it from cheaply
