If u have invested Rs.100, which grows at 15% and reaches to 115. If the hurdle rate is assumed to be 10% (which is equal to 110). When the performance fees is calculated from 100 to 115, it is called soft hurdle. When the performance fees is calculated from 110 to 115, it is called hard hurdle.
