@@colehuetten5595 well, I am a very active and successful ambassador for Tesla having convinced a lot of my friends to buy one and I guess they thouht if the give of lie car for a whole weekend I would show it to everybody. Which I did.

The M2 Competition was my baby, loved it 6mt and all but it was hard to justify the costs of ownership after buying the Model Y Performance, my girlfriend always preferred the softer suspension and it was just cheaper all around to drive. I will definitely miss the feel of my ICE, but I'm sure in the future I can buy a nice toy to play around with, though the Model 3 Performance has me pretty set that EV's are just the future, this car is amazing fun the only thing it's missing is the sound. The Y Performance just was way too heavy and uncomfortable to drive spirited in, while this car is just perfect for both scenarios, comfort, and fun. So the 3 Performance will always be my go-to car unless we need a bigger car that can haul more family and our 2 big dogs, which then I'll take the Y performance.

I hear theres an update coming soon where you can adjust the sensitivity of them or something alike. Hopefully it fixes it cause it's awful in Florida where we get rain daily.

It's very hard to compare to the older gen as I haven't been in one in a little while but I'd say a good step up from what I remember. Outside from the break in which again is horrifying they seem to have plenty of stopping power.

Expecting a few models to have issues, problems from production are to be expected from any manufacturer, it's whether they can figure out how to fix it or not! I know the previous generations tended to have "unfindable" rattles, hopefully that's not the case with this gen. My unit has no issues outside of a very slight stick out from the taillight they are supposed to be fixing July 3rd.

It's hard to even consider it an opinion at this point, spec sheet speaks for itself.

I ordered mine on May 7th, and was lucky enough to pickup June 12th. It said end of July to end of August but one day just boom VIN and delivery within 2 weeks. Had it been the original estimate I may have made a regretful decision on picking up a foundation series cybertruck. But after a week+ of the new Model 3 Performance, this is the car to daily drive.

Sheesh I'm 6'6 and it's great, I think you'd be great as well at 6'9 as long as you set the seat not too high. Rear seats might be an issue, it's just passable at my height in the rear.

@@brandonleewilks Thanks man! Yeah I figure it won’t be a ton different than you. I’ve owned / driven some small cars and still make it work but just ordered one of these yesterday. Have a PP2 Mustang GT as well and have owned a 2019 Shelby GT350 so I hope the handling is decent.

I'm coming from a M2 Competition, and driven many fancy cars. I think the 3 Performance handles terrific you won't be dissapointed!

Haha hopefully I can continue to review more cars in the future this was my first so I’m trying to get a bit more comfortable doing it all. I actually had a few more shots of me in the actual car but the mic wasn’t properly seated and it came out bad. Next reviews I’ll try to do better!

I believe the battery pack and brakes have both been upgraded.

@@brandonleewilks Brake rotor and brake caliper part numbers between 2023 and 2024 are the same, but 2024 has a different brake pad. Battery pack is the same, it was slightly changed in 2021 going from 75kw to 82kw but no other changes besides number of cells contained in the pack.

@@EricsBeard-ws1nzTrue. But the rear motor is upgraded, so that it now maxes out the available power from the battery pack. Which is why I don’t get how people keep thinking there could be a software upgrade coming later to increase performance to a “ludicrous” mode - that makes no sense if the motor is already maxing out the available power from the battery pack.

Wasn’t aware of this it’s good to know! I was wondering if there would be some upgrade in the future but this answers that if true.

squat in one hand and wish in the other. wait forever for the next best thing. this performance model is an absolute beast. if you can't play with the big dogs stay on the porch. if and when ludicrous comes out then you can buy that one and keep getting up. can't keep waiting forever or you miss out on today.

I’m actually not sure why it blinks but I am using volumetric. And past machines volumetric has been really useless, but this machine is really good.

Yeah it’s a bit of a shame I actually had an issue where I slid it back in and it spilt a bit on the inside, causing it to trip my breaker, was back to normal after letting it dry a few hours but definitely a disappointing design there.
