No dark flooring
Great video to show the wife to convince her to let me finish the basement. Made it look painless and easy even though it's time consuming and expensive 😂😂looks good
Wow, beautiful! We're getting to do the same thing to our bungalow in a couple of weeks so this was very helpful, thank you!
What the name of this song please?
Qué medida tiene el sótano tener frente y de fondo gracias por la información que Dios le pague
We have started a similar project but our beam will only be 13’ long
Great video.
Piece of art 🎨
Very nice job!
Beautiful basement!! What paint colour was used?
How long didi this project take?
Beautiful renovation! Excellent job! Fit for a formal gathering.
Fiberglass and plastic against a concrete wall is never recommended.
It was nice but that fireplace is so stupid and not necessary 😂
That's amazing how I can contact you guys
I think you can do it yourself, just watch and learn from Woodglut.
I did something like this a month ago with plans from Woodglut.
Bravo!
I can't watch this video hate the music and the slow clips
This was really cool to watch. I’m not construction whatever savvy, but my boyfriend wants to finish his family’s basement and I want to help because why not. This definitely gave me a great idea of the process we’ll be going through. Great video!!
What happens to these floors after flood?
⁰987
The fireplace in the middle of a faux stone wall is weird af but the rest was sweet.
You recommend start wall and ceiling in the end floor.
Yes that's right. I would drywall the ceiling first and then your walls.
@@Bpreno then lastly floor? Do I touch the dry wall of the side wall touch to the bottom of the floor? And when doing floor any gaps. Do you any more video explaining this? Thanks
Good video thanks. But why are there no access panels to get to plumbing main trunk cleanouts? There definitely is a cleanout at base of that painted accent chase along main long wall. If they ever need to clear that drain line they will be cutting drywall open. Was it cut in at end?
Happy you enjoyed it. And yes, you're right. They were cut out and installed at the end.
In my first work I always used Stodoys plans.
Those aren’t orbs, just the way the light is being presented in the camera
Total costs would be nice 👍🏾
Looks pretty sweet, nice job! I typically like to do all my painting before installing the flooring. Then cover the floors with 36" wide Rosin Paper to protect them while I finish up the rest of the projects. I too like how you finished the pole!
Thank you!
Nice job, I like the fireplace and the accent wall. Is this gas or electric?
Thank you! It's electric
So basically, the same as building a house after its been dried in.
Great job! I'm about to embark on my own basement, and this is very similar layout. Very helpful. Thanks for posting!
Me to
Thank you, glad it's helpful. Good luck on your project!
Amazing job!! Is a concrete footer always required under the jack?
Thank you! You should always consult with an engineer who will calculate the loads and let you know what kind of footing is required.
I’m using this vid as a reference for what I’m doing. Must’ve watched this 500 times. GREAT DESIGN, perfect layout. Now, how bout you come to my house and do it for me. I’m old and tired. So far I’ve got the insulation done and hauled the washer dryer into the basement.
Thank you! Happy you're finding it helpful. Hope it's progressing nicely. Would be happy to help if you're in the Toronto area
Sad to see the stairs painted. Like a piano keyboard.
It's hard to tell, but they were actually stained. It's a very dark stain. You're right though, painting new oak treads would be a real shame.
i'm here for the music. . )
Very good video but need more details
Thank you!
Whats the width on those stairs? How are you gonna put furniture down there?
Furniture was brought down without any issues.
Nice job but I would never have a drywall ceiling in a basement. Yes they look better but a drop ceiling allows quick access to pipes and electrical. Besides, there are some really nice drop ceiling options now
You're right drop ceilings are a great option for easy accessibility.
is there a secondary forms of egress? that 1 window does not qualify
I have no problem doing what you did but my basement floor is uneven and leaks from corners
For sure you can do it! Have you checked your downspouts? Level your floor and get to it.
Great video! I recently repair a section of drywall in the basement, and found that it's not insulated. Is there a way to insulate without ripping out the drywall & insulating & putting up new drywall..thankd
Thank you! You could look into the "drill and fill" option however I would remove the existing drywall and properly insulate and vapour barrier if possible.
@@Bpreno thank you for responding. I've got to look up how to do that, do you have any videos how to do that? Thanks
Playing Mozart no 1 eine kleine nachtmusik like a boss. Music credit says, “My Favorite Ex Girlfriend, (Instrumental)”. 🤣
What’s an estimate on finishing all of that?
great job!! how long did it take from start to finish?
if you don't mind me asking, how much did this renovation run for? beautiful job!!
It cost around $3,000 to $5,000 but contractor's will charge you from $15k to $25k in labor. So around $25k
