This is not even a good lap! He totally fucked up Turn 2, lost a lot of speed mid-corner, to then have a slow exit, meaning he was loosing time along the whole straight due to being slower, a s a result. As evidenced by his slower than Barichello top speed at the end of the straight...

Traction control combined with more forgiving Michelins and a lighter car means you could just throw these things into corners and they could take it. Can't drive anywhere close to that style in the modern cars

The early 2000s Marlboro livery is the most iconic in the history of the sport. Sure the latter McLaren Marlboro cars were gorgeous too, but gimme that F2003 in glorious fluorescent Rosso Scuderia and full Marlboro markings any day.

The one, the only legendary Michael Schumacher. All I could say is that he was a brilliant driver.

This is by no means Michael's best lap in F1. Japan 2001, japan 2000 (best qualifying session ever with mika), monaco 1996 and monaco 2012 just to mention a few were way better.

Spielberg in general is a really easy circuit, Schumacher had a great lap time but it most certainly wasn‘t his best lap ever. Multiple times, he‘s had outstanding laps in Monaco which I personnally consider to be better laps.

On top of other abilities is this one, not losing time when the car gets away from you. Watch his Bahrain 2004 qualifying lap and Brundle ask the same question, how does he do it not losing time while the car wants to slide outside track.
