Hi! I'm happy that you're learning korean, hope you have fun! I've been studying korean for almost 4 years now (crazy tbh haha), i have only one advice for you right now: do not trust romanizations (romanji) too much. Especially if there isn't any actual korean. For example in the sentence you showed (from the book) I saw you wrote "규슈" next to "gyosu" (the word is 교수(님) meaning professor). Tbh I would be confused too if I had to guess the hangul from the romanization (i did sometimes when i first started and i still have some really embarassing proof of how i thought korean worked haha). By the way, It's really good that you're immersing yourself in the language, I would also try shadowing with 한글 (hangul) videos to learn pronunciation better by actually speaking. This way you can memorize better and as well practice the alphabet! The faster you get rid of romanization, the easier it will become to learn more! Also i really appreciate that you share your journey here, keep going! 화이팅!!<3

I guess the first question would be what you want the product for? for styling? or to be used a a leave in prior to styling?

It's a gel. It's not a detangler, it's not a leave in condtioner... Don't comb that through dry hair. Gel goes on freshly shampooed and deep conditioner hair after leave -in conditioner. Preferably use a spray leave-in conditioner from the same brand and line as the gel...otherwise....flake city and white bits. Also Please don't wet your hair with tap water every day especially have you have hard water or water with a high chemical content. Oh and if you have a sensitive scalp like me do not put anything on your scalp but shampoo and a scalp mist that you get from a professional like a dermatologist or trichologists. Good luck. I've been 15 years natural and before that, I was 10 years relaxed and 5 years natural.

The product you showed is not a leave-in; it's a twisting butter. You might want to try it with the leave-in from the same line. However, not everything works for everyone, and that's fine. To be fair, I don't think this product "ruined" your hair; your hair seems very dry and badly in need of a trim.

My hair hates aloe so this product sucked on my hair too! Threw it away.

I've only tried their twisting butter for twists and it works okay, sounds like the leave-in is a bit of a dud.

Gorgeous afro and you're actually doing great so far! Few tips to help with breakage though: 1) dont detangle your hair with a comb when its dry/unmoisturized spritz with water- smooth it down the section then you can finger detangle as you've been doing then go in with the comb if you wish (Although i would suggest to treat the comb like that one weird family member at the dinner- you talk to em but you'd really rather not ykwim?) 2) When moisturizing with your leave in make sure to get it fully on your hair shaft and on your ends too- ie when twisting you could add some leave in to your hair right as you reach the ends then twist As for stretching ur hair you could blowdry it but if ur like me and dont rlly play with heat you could try methods such as banding, braiding or even for your twists that u moisturized you could style them in a low bun or high bun , leave it in when you go to sleep and by morning your hair should be somewhat stretched. Tons of videos on yt on that too just search 'heatless stretching for natural hair' and yeah
