Hey boss if you just pull up on the top loop the hook pops out easy peezy
Thanks
Dude. That’s wild.
As the owner and inventor of the Stern Saver product, I need to clear some things up here. The Stern Pad product is nothing more that a very poor quality imitation of the Stern Saver and here’s why. Stern Pads are made of non- marine grade PVC foam board. This plastic is not intended for the marine environment and is very inferior to the King brand StarBoard we make our Stern Saver products with. StarBoard is the boat industry standard for the best plastic to make boat parts out of. Not PVC foam board which was never intended for marine use. If you put a Stern Saver block and. Stern Pad on a scale, you will see a Stern Saver weighs almost twice as much because it’s not made of cheap foam board. This additional density of the Stern Saver makes it much stronger at “bedding” a screw and will not strip easily nor will the screws pull out easily like they can with the foam board that Stern Pads are made of. As for the adhesive, our marine grade epoxy supplied with the Stern Saver has 10 times the bonding strength that the double sided tape that Stern Pad uses. Stern Pads can only be adhered to perfectly flat surfaces otherwise their inferior double sided tape won’t even make contact with the surface of the transom. Our thickened marine epoxy however allows the Stern Saver to be adhered to wavy or even curved surfaces like the ends of pontoons with great success, because the epoxy bridges any gaps between the block and surface, something double sided tape just cannot do. The Stern Saver is the premium product in this category because it’s made of the best possible components. I cannot tell you how many customers have called to complain about their Stern Pads falling off their boats. I even have videos customers have sent us of freshly installed Stern Pads falling right off a brand new boat. The savings of a few bucks is not worth buying the cheap knock off and having your transducer fall off. There’s a reason why Airmar uses our mounts and are distributors of Stern Saver products because we are the only brand of transducer mount they trust, and they are the largest transducer manufacturer on the planet.
Latch was a pain for me too
River was pretty high on that trip I see. Were you between Greenwood and Belzoni?
Yazoo city
Cool. My biggest fish I have caught on the Yazoo was north of the ramp in a night tournament and a friend of ours had caught same fish 3 weeks earlier 2 miles up river. Still had hole in top of her head where hook had came out. At the time I had video of catching her first time on my phone to verify where hook had came out
Thanks for taking the time to do this, my friend. It really was helpful.
I’m would do this full time if I could lol thanks
@mississippihuas I know what you mean
How have they held up? Still liking it?
Great so far still going strong
After 4yrs, is it still holding?
Believe it or not it’s still going strong with hundreds of hours in the water
@@mississippihuas that awesome! I may have to get me one.
Where can I get those nets. Love them!
Which net
@@mississippihuas The hard metal, not the nylon. To much work getting it untangled
@@georgekronbar4764 bass pro
@@mississippihuas they don’t have dip nets
I've found using pliers to squeeze the clip sides tighter to the hook that you hook on the trotline prevents the drop from being pulled down and off the trotline.
Good idea
Do you put lines out in the afternoon, then check them in the morning?. Or put lines out in the morning and check later in the day? Thanks
Put the. Out in afternoon and check every 4 to 6 hours the hotter it is the more you have to check because they will die . But usually every 6 hours
Want to try it.
It’s addictive
@@mississippihuas can you do good just putting out rod and reel? Or are jugs better?
Why don't you start at one end and then feed the spool through a loop so you don't have to pull the line through
Thats the worst jug i ever seen in my 30 years of jug fishing!
Lol you ain’t fished no 30 years don’t be a hater son
Still holding Sir?
Yes somehow it still holding strong
Will this work on the 1648 grizzly tracker
Should work on any boat with a pedestal hole in it
@@mississippihuas thanks i have 1648 tracker with a center hole in it top of my boat is 50 ' wide
Hey, how do these mate up to a standard universal swivel?
Talked to guy today he said rarely will transducer come loose unless shallow but said adhesive 3200 he used with board works good
Mine still Holding strong but I don’t know how I’ve been through everything bow fishing gator hunting and everything
I have 2 of these on my property.
I still have mine on same tree haven’t moved it
@@mississippihuas that's awesome.
Thanks for info.Simple and affordable. Sure dont need to overthink.
I found using a chainsaw to rough cut the hull was the best. The first time I cut one up, I got too much fiber glass in my skin.
Ok
I double knot on each side i run my my lines tight if the knot shrinks tok much beads and swivels will slide past the knot
Awesome
I wish there was a little more detail. Did you fiberglass the jetski to the John boat? Or bolt it and seal it with the 3m
I make my lines up by tying two overhand knots every 10’-12’, about an inch apart, and clip the clips between the knots. That way they don’t move.
Nice
Now when throwing the noodles out, do we need to make sure the rebar stays on one side or the other? Or is it not enough weight to matter until a fish is on?
Slide rebar away from hook side and lay flat . Once it has a bite it stays up cause the weight slides to hook side
Hello. Did you sand the paint first?
Yes that what the instructions say and it comes with sandpaper
how much did you sand? just scuffing it up or down to bare metal? ive got an aluminum tracker---- painted from the factory i thought it said to just rough it up? is that all they want??? did you cover any old holes with it? ive got two from old TD that i filled with epoxy and was hoping to just put this over that and stay afloat.
just noticed the original was 3 years ago - still holding ok?
@@anonimous596 I sanded the texture down to a flat surface
@@anonimous596 still going strong through hundreds of hours of use
What length is you seat pole?
12 I think I’ll have to look
So this popped up on my feed....glad to see a fellow MS sportsman!! Im from vicksburg. Great video!! I love hunting panther for the hogs
Why not leave the sea-doo whole, and cut a bigger, sea-doo-shaped hole in the bottom of the boat, and fit the entire sea-doo into the boat's hull???
This is just what we tried it’s totally up to the builder
What pedestal are you using and what’s the specific model or do you know the diameter that CADT bar slides into
Almost all of the pedestal are the same size
@@mississippihuas I have a Lund with the standard 2 3/8 base diameter but it don’t have the top hole at 1.77 where I think the cad T drops into.. what one are you using in video
Are the holes predetermined.. what did you mean the rod holders don’t go through? Did you contact the company? I just ordered one with the 6inch rod holders.. will they fit
It comes with 1/2 holes I had 3/8 rod holders so I made it work I still use the bar
How do you steer?
Got a stick steer that the throdle is on
If that's the Yazoo River, it's poisoned. DDT and other stuff....can't eat the fish
That’s a canal on government land and people eat the fish there and the Yazoo no ones been poisoned lol
Anyone know where to buy an extension for ladder. 15ft not tall enough
Liability reasons I don't think you can buy just an extension . You could buy another stand and add to the ladder or take a ladder piece to a welder and have him copy an extension off it
How long and wide is this boat
12ft long I’ll have to measure the width
I bought two of this exact ladder stand. I assembled them (except for the legs). Hoping to put them in a tree tomorrow.
This one hasn’t left the tree since I put it up still going strong so far
can not hear you
First time anyone said that usually they say it’s to loud thanks though
would have like to see you move it around to see how stable it is.
It depends on how much you strap it down I still use it at the moment
What size boat?
12ft lol
The instructions that come with these are a little confusing to say the least. I have 3 of the older "non-tree grabbing" type. It took me about 30 minutes just to figure out how to get started with the assembly. Once I got rolling, it was okay. The safety mechanism for grabbing the tree, well, you better be real good at figuring things out. I had to put it together and take it apart about 3 times before I got it to work correctly. These are good stands for the budget hunter. I have several of these and have used them for many years. Some I haven't taken down in years. I just check them to make sure all is well with them before deer season starts. just remember, take a buddy along to raise these. Don't try to put it up on a tree by yourself. Happy Hunting!!
Yes definitely take someone it can get bad fast
That would take some time but it looks bulletproof! Nice
Thanks it does take a while lol

Man I have had a terrible time catching bait this year. Are y’all having the same problem?
Yes worst I’ve ever encountered
@@mississippihuas me too man! I’ve been second guessing everything. I’ve ran tanks of gas out searching for bait. I can’t find Shad or skips.
@@Re-liner_outdoors yea its wired and either from all the crazy weather or it a bad sign of what’s ahead
@@mississippihuas I spoke with a guy that fishes several hours north on the MS river. He said the bait catching for them has been the best it’s been in years. Maybe that all went north! Lol. Good to see you caught some fish on gar. I’ve tried carp, Asian carp, mullet and have had zero luck. On a good note I caught 2 giant Shad one trip and caught a 53 and a 65 and 2 30’s. Seems like the fish are looking for them also.
What dams do we have in MS where you can catch them?
Off the Mississippi River
Off the Mississippi River
Did it come with the rod holders
No but he sells them with rod holders now if you want that way
What knot do you use to tie your line on the bottom of that clip
Just about any knot will work but with braided and tarred I jus do two overhand
@@mississippihuas ok thanks 👍
Why two swivels
To make sure of no roll out
We come from lake Chotard into the river and you are in our honey hole thats were we set our trot lines
