Personally, I dislike Team Rocket a lot, because of their stupid tricks, incompetence, and stupidity. I think it’s good riddance that they’re gone. They were just done so dirty in Journeys because of the Gachat Machine, or Secret Rocket Prize Master in English, of course. That thing just doesn’t help them get stronger.

i was thinking about this exact topic too lol. about inside out 2 emotions being felt in inside out 1. when i first saw inside out in the movie theater in 2015, and when riley was crying at school, im like, “how embarrassing! i hate when that happens.” so i noticed that immediately lol. i guess you can say ennui was felt when riley and her parents were in the car driving to SF because long car rides can be boring sometimes. but i think also ennui was felt in the first movie at the dinner table scene. the dinner table scene where they show riley frowning and moving her food around in the container, looking bored and disgusted

Exactly I think people give Netflix zuko to much credit because of a few good scenes he had. But I feel like they missed the point of his whole character which was to restore his honor but not only his honor but the honor of the fire nation itself. 13:18 Jesus the scene is so bad compared to the original Paku has not passion behind his voice when he speaking at all he souds just as timid as katara. I’m so glad I dropped the live action after the first episode it was no worth the watch and that’s disappointing to say I really see now why the original creators left during production. They would’ve never allowed any of this and if get the feeling Netflix or whoever just wanted to fuck the series up for no good reason.

NOPE!! The second you said Zhao was ok i lost hope. He was one of the WORST!!! HOW are we meant to fear Ozai and his military prowess, or even believe that the fire nation managed to take and keep control over the world for 100 years if he'll just promote some nobody TO ADMIRAL (head of the entire fire nation naval forces) just because his 12 year old daughter says so? Just like giving Zuko the 41st makes ZERO tactical sense. If he was the absolute monster we're meant to believe he is, why didn't he STILL sacrifice them just to spite Zuko?

One of the only positive things the live action brought was more people learning of the show but they don’t actually watch the better original avatar which sucks, so as a hardcore avatar fan I always encourage people to watch the cartoon version (so far I got 1 person to watch it and they loved it)

I personally despised the Live Action Bumi. In the Cartoon- **Hey I recognize that guy, lets have some fun and see if he can figure out who I am** Bumi- "Aang there will be times that you come across a problem without a clear answer. But if you are willing to look at it with a new perspective you might just be able to see a solution." Live action Bumi- "Hi Aang, Haha rock candy... WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN???" Pulling from the Ember island episode, The original characters started as rough rocks (flawed) that smoothed out over time. The live action almost seemed afraid to have flawed characters so made them too smooth right off the bat. When a character has no flaws at the start of the story there is nothing for them to overcome and their "achievements" feal flat and unearned.

Stop comparing the two. Let it live on its own. You started off talking about including the beginning only because your list was soo long on the things you didnt like? Really? Well newsflash homie, the original writers help creat the first episode and the way this show starts out will be referenced moving forward in other parts of Avatar. No, Im not making it up either. They answered a LOT of questions too with showing how ruthless the fire nation is too. Why not talk about that? For example, A LOT of people had questions in the cartoon about the fire nation even making it to the air temples. Fire benders cant fly, so how did they even get up there? The cartoon never answered that question. Well, in the live adaptation, we saw that the fire nation was so powerful due to the Zosyns Comet that they werre able to literally fly up there. This is just one of many questions, the live adaptation did that the cartoon didnt. The live adaptation also gave a TON and I do mean a TON of fun easter eggs in various backgrounds throughout the show. True avatar fans can spot a few of them but super nerd Avatar fans would need to go back and watch the show multiple times to pull them all out. They even referenced the comic books in the main story line. Why not go onto detail about that? Dont get hung up on the "characters are different blah..blah..blah.." The kive action need a LOT of work but come on..some people act like the orginal show did everything flawless, when in my opinion it wasn't flawless either (probably becsuse I wasnt a little kid watching the original either when it came out).

Totally disagree with ALMOST everything you said. Thank God season 2 and season 3 is coming. It was a fun ride and it will be even better moving forward.

Fun fact. Making something(weather it's a movie, tv show, animation program, video game or comic book)that's quote on quote "mature" and that it's aimed at a more mature older audience(teenagers and adults), does not automatically mean the content that's made for teens and adults is going to be great or smart or worth watching. Like "mature", "dark" and "gritty" are things that are not even required to produce something successful or amazing. And mature themes does not automatically equals "smart writing" or being "adult" only or "inappropriate" for children under age of 13. Netflix's live action Avatar the last airbender, Zack Snyder's DC movies, Rebel Moon, Netflix's He-man and the master of the universe revelations and Netflix's Transformers WFC Trilogy are proof that shows or movies that are meant to be very mature and dark and that the target audience are more for a mature older audience... will not automatically make them inherently great if the qualities of them are done poorly. Now look, the examples I listed of movies and shows that are for older audiences, they aren't bad just because they are targeting at a older demographic or that they are dark and mature, but because of how poorly made they were. Those could have been good and successful, but because they have such poor direction, bad writing, lack of originality, low quality storytelling, bad acting, poor written scripts, bland characters and more things that are required for making a movie or show. So once again, animation programs, tv shows, movies or even video games that are made primarily for kids does not mean it's bad, just means it's made to be suitable and enjoyable for younger viewers in mind. And I'm so thankful that the original avatar the last airbender cartoon that aired on nickelodeon recognises the fact that just because something is made to be for kids does not automatically mean the quality of it's content is inherently bad, the original series definitely was successful for kids while also being successful for the whole family of all ages(shows and movies that are primarily for kids are also usually made to be appealing to family all ages since parents would sometimes be interested in watching something with their kids). Oh and Netflix's live action Avatar definitely gave me the vibes of "I'm too insecure that I was a show made to be kid-friendly for younger audience under the age of 13 and I want to be taken very mature, serious, dark and gritty".

Adaptation is not 1 to 1 remake of the animation, even kids know this. Can you make 20 episodes to 8 episodes and not change anything? criticizing is very easy, everyone can do it. Why not compare with Avatar 2010?

My opinions on the Pokemon anime series: unova: Ash being dumb, iris being annoying, team plasma was terrible! Too many pokemon and not enough evolutions! Except krookidile he’s cool. And ash losing to an idiot who brought five Pokémon to a full battle! (Black and white was my first Pokémon game btw) Johto: too much filler but ash vs Clair and ash vs gary was cool! Hoenn: extremely underrated and may being a great character! Except max and anime team magma and aqua. Journeys: episodic nature than the average Pokémon series, galar being shafted except for the masters 8 and the darkest day. Masters 8 was cool except Leon vs Alain,leon vs diantha,and mid ash vs Steven. Project mew had terrible conclusion, and Chloe being a disappointment. Also aim to be a Pokémon master was lame for ash,s send off. Kanto: it’s what it feels like to be in a Pokémon world. Sinnoh: amazing! Dawn is my favorite poke girl alongside Lillie. I hated paul at first but I like him now. And Tobias is a forced loss for ash. Alola: great! And ash finally became a champion! Kalos: AWESOME! Ash was cool, Serena was terrific! Clemont and Bonnie are great companions! Alain and sawyer are great rivals and the team flare arc was EPIC! Solid video btw.
