Ich bin ein Fan von ihr seit dem ich sie in " Orinoco Flow " das erste Mal hörte und sah...Nach der Wende hatte ich mir alles nachbestellt ,was bisher von ihr veröffentlicht wurde. Clannad kannte ich durch ihren Super - Hit ,erfuhr allerdings erst später, daß es Enya's Familie ist. Die Doku werde ich mir anschauen. Ich hoffe sehr auf neue Musik von Enya. " Dark Sky Island ist schon 8 Jahre her...VG👋

Well, I never knew Enya was with Clannad. She became popular over here in Germany in 1988 with "Orinoco Flow". Was my Chrstmas wish that year. Served in the Navy for six years and somhow got hooked. We returned from Portland in the UK and somehow the magic was implemented. We were pretty much fed up by an exhausting BOST (Basic Operational Sea Training) training over there.In the 90s you simply couldn't avoid listening to her angelic voice. Up'n down the radio stations over here. What a lucky man I was ;-) Kindest regards and Merry Christmas from my side.
I really believe that Enya is on of the Ainur, and everything good and beautiful in our world was created from her music. I admire Enya and all the Brennans.
Goes to show how far strong management and the right marketing can bring out star material, for Enya but also the superlative Clannad.

A musical relic.
Enya looked so shy and nervous, constantly looking down. How she clasps her hands. Your heart would go out to her on how nervous she must have been having to sing live on stage, but, the voice incredible. Huge Enya fan here.

The seeds of the legend
Sitting with my Mom listening to this. We used to listen to Pure moods and enya CDs on the way to school (she taught at my grade school). Enyas music has gotten us through my dads death, 9/11 , all of my HS then my time in the army.
My mom had Paint the Sky With Stars and we used to listen to it on long drives when I was very young. Years later, rediscovering Enya’s music and hearing those songs from my childhood was astounding.
