Liked the outcome but would say although you had two views the angles made it very hard to see what yo were actually doing, maybe a overhead shot would be better, but thanks very much for your video as you explained everything really well greatly appreciated.

Which pen kit did you use for the watch parts pens?

🎉I've done bottle stoppers with stabilized sweetgum pods. I molded them in 1.25" molds and didn"t trim them. I waited till the tempature before pouring was 103-105 degrees. I didn't have any voids and had excellent separation too. I used Alumalite deep pour resin. Hope that helps.

why didn't you just pour A and B into 1 container? Pour in 20 grams of A...then pour in B until the total is 40 grams. You wouldn't waste the extra cup, and wouldn't need to worry about leaving any resin behind in one of the cups.

Was hoping to see how you drilled it. Such a long piece, the drill press won't drill it through. Did you use a Jacobs chuck on the lathe?

I have done very similar with Woodglut designs.

A double boiler in water will keep wax from burning and does an excellent job heating wax, MO and DE. For a pleasant aroma other than orange oil, use essential oils of your choosing. Using the more expensive carnauba wax provides a harder, yet better quality finish. One could use 50% bees wax and 50% carnauba wax with good results. To speed things up, put the container of liquid sanding paste into a tray of ice and then stir. The paste should set up in just a few minutes. Having a mixture of 4:1 will result in a firmer paste. I don't think EEE has hardeners in it since it appears to be food safe. Hardeners would tend to not be food safe. It's texture more a result of the type of waxes and the ratio of mineral oil used. When I put EEE into a centrafuse, I didn't see anything other than waxes, MO and DE once put into a liquid state via heat. This doesn't mean hardeners are not there, I just did not see them after the spin.

I like the sand blasting effect - what media do you use for the blasting? Walnut shells, steel shot, plastic beads? What size media?
